Great local shop that really knows their gear. Brought in my 20+ year old Stratocaster for a set up. Can’t believe the difference it made. Not only does it play better but it sounds better as well. It is like having a brand new guitar. Friendly service as well.

In July 2017, I signed up for their $49 first month special for music lessons. They made me provide my credit card information in order to schedule the first session, but I was assured that I would not be charged until we actually completed the first lesson and that I was not agreeing to a monthly membership. Wrong on both counts. I asked these questions very clearly and was lied to. I scheduled the first session and was also told I would get an email confirmation as well as a phone call the day before the session. I got neither, so when the day came and I realized I needed to reschedule, I figured I wouldn't need to call them about it, since they did not confirm the appointment anyway. Yes, I should have called to be on the safe side - but they didn't hold up their end so I did not think it mattered. Time went on and I forgot all about it since they never reached out like they said they would. It was over a month later that I realized that not only did they charge me the initial $49, they also charged me a recurring $80 fee! All without me ever having stepped foot into their store or receiving any lessons, and despite assuring me that neither of those things would happen. I called and talked to somebody and explained the situation. They did agree to refund the $80 and took care of that. However, they didn't want to refund the $49. I wanted to be reasonable, so I asked if I could at least make up the lessons the $49 paid for. He said they could probably do that, and said he would have an instructor call me within the next couple of days to set up some lessons. Nobody ever called me back. I could have kept fighting, but I was fed up at this point and said goodbye to my $49. Update from December 2017: After I posted negative reviews on Google, Yelp and Facebook, the store manager reached out and did offer to refund my money. He was apologetic and professional, and they sent me a check refund very quickly. I considered removing the negative reviews since they did make it right, but considering that my phone calls did not get the job done and my experience was completely ignored until I posted reviews, I think that my experience is still relevant to other consumers, so I am leaving this posted.

Speaking as a music artist and musician, I have always had a wonderful experience at Springfield Music! An easy 5 ⭐️. They are professional and friendly beyond the call of duty. I bought my Taylor guitar there, and the staff and especially the quitar repair guy have been great to work with from day one. I buy strings there regularly, as well as other equipment that I use for playing shows.

Mitch is an amazing person to work with at Springfield Music in Springfield, MO. They will get you taken care of and make sure your supper happy by the time you leave. Even after you leave! I love this company and I love working with Mitch! I highly recommend them!

They always have what I need and if they don't, they'll get it! These guys make you feel welcome and seem to love their work. Always helpful and courteous.
