Astoundingly beautiful forest with two loops of nicely maintained hiking trails. Walking in it in summer is like walking in green fairy tales. Fresh air and cool shades, view of the wetland, flying birds, a complete and amazing touch of nature. Great place for a visit during both sunny and rainy days.

This refuge isn't bad, except the entrance for the Salt Meadow Area (the refuge's headquarters area) is in the middle of nowhere, the visitor's center was closed, and the road ended at the weirdest point possible. On the upside there was a info pavilion, and the was a trail with a lookout area, except it was really buggy. Overall though, it's not a bad place. I would recommend it to anyone who can withstand being bitten by mosquitoes and can still have a good time. Also, admission is free.
