I would like to warn anyone who ever intends to rent an apartment in the future, to stay far away from NORTHSTAR PROPERTIES. They will take your money and make you believe you’re getting a fully renovated unit only to find out on the day you sign your lease that if you have any concerns whatsoever about the condition of the unit and you request things be fixed, like holes in the walls where pests can enter the home, or you take photos of minor damages throughout the unit in order to protect yourself from unjustified charges in the future, they will reject you and keep your money. I never in my life imagined that anyone could be so crooked. Feel like I dodged a bullet! Living there would have been a nightmare.
This place is poorly kept and way overpriced. I had to call maintenance out multiple times to fix my AC because it would be 110° outside and my house wouldn’t go below 80°. When I asked the front office about it they didn’t offer any solutions, they just told me, “well it’s hot outside!” Which is precisely why I wanted my AC to work, crazy, I know! My front door isn’t properly sealed and leaks when it rains. My balconies screen door isn’t attached. My window’s screen isn’t fully attached. They painted my bathroom sink for some reason, so now paint flakes off anytime I use the sink or clean the sink. Open nails are all over the apartment, the ventilation is poor, the stove top doesn’t work properly, the dishwasher is disgusting and not really useable, and they used tape to cover a hole in the wall and just painted over it instead of properly filling in the hole. They’re also quite scammy and lied to my boyfriend and I over the rent prices and endless rental fees they tack on every month. But they wait until a day before you sign the lease and have no other option to mention any of it. I would look elsewhere.
Lived here for almost 2 years. Moved out during the summer of 2022. Many problems unblocking plumbing, my front door, my windows never were completely sealed and would let water in. Then the office ladies. Rude to say the least. I called up to check on a package that was delivered to my old address and while in the phone was hung up on mid-sentence. Never EVER waste your money on these cheaply made OVEEEEERLY priced apartments
I currently live here and would like to say please stay away from here. Location is nice but that’s literally ALL there is positive to it. They are so slow with maintenance requests you need to bother them and go talk to them in person to get things done and ever since me and my wife have been here this has been a problem always sometime or another. AC leaking, restroom, floors, etc. they poorly construct these places and have such a high price it’s NOT worth it. Save yourself the hassle.
This Property has severely declined over the past 3 years. They've switched out the office staff too many times. And the tenants are now stuck with a Flat out Fool of an Office manager. How this person manages to keep her position is only a question Northstar can Answer & they will not. There is no way to contact them & report the Abusive & ILLEGAL behavior of their office Manager. She is Aggressively Combative, Derogatory & very unpleasant to work with. She takes no responsibility for the failures of the complex. And goes as far as to Harass tenants. I will be Reporting Stonebrook & North star to the Bbb. She needs to be Fired immediately.
I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN THIS APARTMENT FOR TWO YEARS THEY ARE INFESTED WITH ROACHES! I’ve CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THEM TO COME OUT AND REPLACE A REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS BUGS IN THE MOTOR. EVERY APARTMENT AROUND ME HAS BEEN GUTTED MAKING THE BUGS WORSE IN MY UNIT. THEY ARE NESTING BEHIND DISHWASHER THAT ISNT PROPERLY INSTALLED. And ALL THEY SEEM TO DO IS SPRAY AND NOT ACTUALLY FIXING THE PROBLEM.THEY HAVENT ADDRESSED THE CALKING THATS NEEDS TO BE DONE AROUND BASEBOARDS AND CABINETS.
Move in started out rough It seemed like the apartment was patched and rushed to fill the vacancy. I started to get roaches within the first month and have been having issues with management getting rid of the infestation. They refuse to move me to another unit and properly treat the building. Constantly having to call the office to have maintenance orders worked. They lie and say they don't have your key in the office to get in the unit and still submit the job completed. DO NOT live here if you don't want roaches and a property manager that will not care.
If you’re looking to move into apartments there are certainly more qualifying candidates than this one me and my fiancé moved into 6062 building B apartment A. We would be threatened with guns probably 2 to 3 days out of the week and no matter what day it was, no common decency loud music would be constantly played all night and day. I would have strangers walk up on my porch and bang on my door like something out of a movie. I did not appreciate that maintenance no matter how many work orders I put in they just seem to always forget about us and nothing got fixed, so this concludes my review you guys look for better apartments.
I have been here almost 6 months and all I can say is I really love it here. It is quiet over here and it is conveniently close to lots of venues. I really like my apartment too. The management team and maintenance crew are the absolute best! My air conditioner motor ceased up and within one hour of reporting the problem, maintenance set me up with a window unit until they can get the air conditioner fixed. I would recommend this property to anyone.
I lived at these apartments for just over a year, they where extremely misleading when they where setting up the leaseregarding the property security and features"that will be installed within a month" 15 months later still not installed. After your lease expires you can expect at least 2 or 3 10% increases in rent "due to market values" within a couple months if you don't agree to their new raised 12 month lease. And finally when you go to move out no matter how clean you get the apartment/walls/carpet you can expect a bill charging you around $500 to clean everythingmaybe they just do it to parents with a newborn who they think won't have time to challenge the bill while trying to move All in all very disappointed with the dishonesty, lack of caracter, lack of empathy and aggressive approach this company takes regarding its residents.
