My experience with sunrun direct was not stressful at all I was informed all the way through my install of my panels. The rep Erica Gonzales always keep me in the loop every step of the way . She handled all my questions and concerns , The day of install went smoothly I would recommend company over others the problem is really great to not have to come out of pocket for solar is a blessing and they handle the installation and maintenance of all and great customer service thanks a bunch
Sunrun was absolutely amazing every step of the way. I’m busy so I place a high value on efficiency, but I also want to feel informed when making a big purchase. Sunrun made this process seamless for me. They were very collaborative, always responsive, informative, and more than happy to make some adjustments along the way. The installers knew what they were doing. Our system and house are a bit complicated but they had a can do attitude and solved whatever problem came their way. They also upgraded my panels at no cost when the model I paid for wasn’t on hand. Cannot recommend them highly enough and the experience of going solar is so much more rewarding that I would have expected. Thanks solar ninjas
I signed up for Sunrun inside a Costco in March 2022. They were very nice and got everything moving along quickly. I was impressed with things the first month. Then the changes started, signing new “docusign” for changes and things they forgot to add to the system that are just common sense. I had to point out many things that “should be included” in the system. 5 months later and 5-7 changes and docusign changes they finally got the solar system put on the roof. Without the batteries or the upgrades to the electric panels Now it’s 5 months after the panels were installed and they still have not had PG&E come hook them up. We have been paying for electricity AND the loan on the panels They have NOT communicated with us or have told us they are working on it and several months go by without updating us. We did some research into the company before hand and it appeared like they were good and inside Costco It has been a nightmare for almost a year Make your own decision. This is MY experience
DONT BE DECEIVED!!!!! WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!!! They do not honor their word or their legal contracts!! When Sunrun realizes you are a savvy consumer they will cease communicating with you. They only pursue the gullible and the uninformed. I was solicited by Sunrun inside a Costco Warehouse.... I thought I was going to get a great Solar setup but I have no Solar and may never from Sunrun....... just 6 months of LIES, and pain, and frustration!!! They have wasted my time and energy for over 6 months!!!! Costco should be ashamed of allowing Sunrun into their Warehouses. Sunrun is totally incompetent through all levels of their management!! You cannot trust anything they say!!! Do not be surprised if they go bankrupt.
Would not recommend going with this company. We had them come out to install some solar panels and a battery. They installed the battery in our garage and left our garage a mess. They didn't bother covering up any of our things when they were cutting into drywall and they moved our stuff around without moving them back. When they finished installing the panels on our tiled roof, we found out the next day that there were missing tiles. So we climbed our roof and discovered some cracked tiles and more missing tiles in a different location. They also didn't place all the tiles on correctly. They never said anything to us and wouldn't have if we hadn't discovered it ourselves and told them what happened. The audacity for them to just leave without telling us there were now holes and cracks on our roof just baffles me. If you still decide to go with them, good luck.
I signed a contract for installation of a solar system last November, 2021, and they are yet to break ground. I have emails, texts, calls and even a letter to their legal department requesting an update which have been completely ignored. We are now considering litigation for contract violation to get my referring neighbor his referral fee. Don't believe their claims and make sure you get an installation date in writing, as what the salesman claims and what the company delivers is not the same.
Do not go with this company! They have a great sales dept and that's where it ends. They evaluated my roof as being suitable for solar panels and installed 13 panels. Now 8 years later every hole they made in the roof is leaking. But they only guarantee their work for five years. What they don't tell you when you enter a thirty year leasing contract with them is if their work fails after 5 years and requires repair there is a $170.00 per panel charge to remove and reinstall the panels. Or you can buy out of the contract by paying for the remainder--in my case 22 years. Who knows how much to get rid of the panels It was a huge mistake that I am now stuck with . In the end, by the time you pay the the leasing fee which is way over what you would pay during g low usage times of the year you don't save that much anyway. Learn from my very expensive mistake!
If your considering Sunrun for solar, don't use them. We have been overcharged on our monthly bill numerous times and it takes weeks to months with numerous phone calls to obtain a resolution. We were overcharged 1.5 months ago and after at least 5 phone calls and 8 emails nothing.The two service reps, Anthony Galve & Danilo Genobis, that were supposed to reconcile my account have been unresponsive. We also had equipment that stopped working and it took months to replace. Be warned, Sunrun is not a solar company, they are a financial/investment corporation.
This company was Vivant, then with great customer service. Since becoming Sunrun the customer service is horrible. Do not use this company, they cannot even figure out how to provide a email or paper statement/invoice to their customers to see what they owe each month. They failed to come out and see why meter was not working then take out undisclosed amounts from your bank account when you are set up for auto payment. Then you find out your own them hundreds of dollars. You call and get a person out of the country and all they do is create case after case with no end result. There has got to be other solar companies out there. I've seen more negative ratings than any other service provider. Like all service providers, gas co, electric co's you receive invoices via email or mail of which you choose. You navigate thru their website with all those options yet receive nothing of what they claim they provide. We have never had such a negative experience. When you see a sales representative in Home Depot trying to sell you solar, turn and run!!!
SUN RUNAROUND! Not Sun Run. They wasted 6 months of our time and would never give us an install date, sent 3 change orders increasing the cost after we already had signed a contract, signed the first c/o, sent another a month later, signed to just get an install sate, nothing, no word...no supervisors return calls when left messages requesting an install date and an explanation... we made no changes to validate the 2nd and 3rd change orders, They waste time, their costs are going up it seems and they try to extort money by not honoring the contract price agreed! They did not provide services promised and break contracts, which is ILLEGAL! Well Biden did that too on his first day in office illegally so I guess this company thinks it's ok since and the CEO is in bed with his administration clearly. I'm not sure how this company even makes money if they won't get it installed or give an install date in 6 months. We've cancelled-Thanks for wasting our time and the sales persons time that may be working on commission and won't be getting paid unless system gets installed. Ours was easy too -15' from power source, ground mount, level ground. DO NOT EVER SIGN ON WITH THIS COMPANY OR RECOMMEND IT -It should be called SUN RUNAROUND!!
