This review is really about one of the desk staff at the gift shop at Taliesin West. We enjoyed our tour very much; the guide was excellent; it was very meaningful for us to see the grounds and learn more about the history, as we are Frank Lloyd Wright fans. However, one event made the experience much diminished (and is the reason for a three star instead of a five star review). We had purchased tickets online and when we arrived we realized we had asked the online seller to send our confirmation to the wrong email address. When we arrived, we asked the woman sitting at the desk (at about 1:30 p.m. on April 8) what she would recommend about confirming our purchase, assuming this had happened before. She told us to contact the online site, which we did, and they emailed the confirmation to the site. The issue was that the way she spoke to us was remarkably sarcastic and condescending. We have traveled extensively for decades, and have never been spoken to so rudely, with no provocation, in response to a simple and very polite question. It was shocking to us both, enough that we almost left.

WOW! What an amazing tour! The staff were incredibly accomodating and friendly! Parking is ample and well marked plus there is a kiosk on property to buy a tea, coffee or snack before your tour begins. Of course there is a gift shop where you can buy all sorts of goodies before you depart. The tour is roughly an hour and a half and there is a lot of slow walking, stopping and listening plus a large part of the tour is outside so bring sunscreen if you burn easily. Once inside, the AC will keep you cool. Just a suggestion, if you can leave the kiddos at home while you tour, that would be a good idea as there arent enough things to keep them entertained. Overall, a fascinating tour and one I will take again in the future.

Lovers of Frank Lloyd's work will love a visit here. In additional to remarkably preserved architecture, you'll find helpful staff to curate your visit and lift your understanding of how FLW integrated man-made materials into the natural environment. There's lots to see both walking the grounds and getting into the buildings. Take your time!

Profound and inspiring architecture, but cold and unfriendly staff make for an unpleasant experience. 35$ per person for a brief tour with an average group of twenty. The aim is to get you in and get you out, and the time schedule is strict. Expect to be rushed. This is 100% a money making operation and corner cutting on the poorly maintained grounds is evident. Any form of private or contemplative experience at the grounds is strictly forbidden. Absolutely no public space, and no unsupervised time. Not recommended for architecture students. Staff did not say hello or greet us. Inadequate disabled parking. Lack of shade.

Great tour! Enjoyed being able to actually sit on the furniture. Also enjoyed learning the history of the place and learning the reasons he designed some of the areas the way he did.
