Tequila's Town Mexican Restaurant Sandfly

Server was good. Chips and salsa hit the table as soon as we were seated. Menus and server arrived quickly. The decor is nice, modern. I ordered a standard on the rocks margarita -- it was good. I wanted to love this place but the food let us down. I had a California burrito with shrimp. It was grilled, as in it had grill marks on the tortilla but it was barely not cold. I hesitate to use the word warm because it wasn't. There may have been a sauce but it had little taste. If there were grilled veggies, I missed them. My other two cohorts had the grilled veggie bowl - honestly, I make better at home. Overall, a big yawn. Not terrible but not going back.

I placed a call in order last night and my girlfriend specifically mentioned how she wanted her food. When we got the food it was not as specified and we ordered for three people and only got eating utensils for one. I guess I should have checked the food there before I left but I didn’t. I called and talked to the lady that took the order and she had nothing to say that reconcile the situation. Last thing she tells me is that we where not specific and detailed about the order and plus we was not charged. Well charge is what I was expecting and for the order to come back the same way I knew it was placed. The soup was great next time remove the sticker from the avocado.

Average Tex-Mex. Placed a to-go order around 7:30 last Saturday evening. I got there at 8:06. The first thing I noticed was the ear splitting noise of the dining room. I don't understand how people can digest food in that atmosphere. I was told to go to the bar for my order. I had to practically barge my way to the bar and then still had to wait 25 minutes for my order while I listened to stories from the drunk next to me. Why families would take their children here and be seated 5 feet from the bar escapes me. I tipped and left when I finally received my order. Got home and realized they left out the flan I paid for. No, I will not be going back.

Great atmosphere and even better food. We went for a birthday dinner and enjoyed every second. We had a pretty large party and our server was attentive and on top of everything. The food taste wonderful at a great price. This is one of our favorite places to dine. Will be coming back for sure.

The food is good. Better than other Mexican restaurants. The servers are always on top of things. A bit pricier than other Mexican restaurants, but you get what you pay for.
