The Complex

Been here for multiple concerts and other shows. Outside shows are great but I do wish there was somewhere to sit. The bars are always great, fully stocked and the bartenders know what they're doing, they're fast and very polite. The "sky bar" as I like to call it over the smaller venue room is my favorite. Sitting above everyone else with a perfect view of the stage and a cold beer. Nothing gets any better. Overall this is one of my favorite venues.

The second time I have been to this venue. The Breeders show was held at the Grand room, which holds 800 people. Outside the venue by the street, we lined up at 6:45 pm. At 7 pm sharp, they checked IDs and used a metal detecting wand to everyone in line. Once past that checkpoint, we went to the door of the venue where they checked tickets and let us in. Inside the venue, there is a snack bar and regular bar (at least for this 21+ event). Inside the venue, the stage is high enough for everyone to see the performance. Sound was amazing. I would go back to a show at this venue without hesitation. The performers started on time.

Went to a concert there tonight, and there was insufficient security in the audience area. A guy tried to pick a fight with me, and there was no one whatsoever there to intervene. Did not see any security. The guy was out of control and had everyone in the general area pretty freaked out, but so what? No way to stop him. My recommendation, if you choose to even enter this unsecured bar establishment that isn't apparently concerned about your safety, would be to hide a small mace sprayer (or whatever form of personal protection you favor) in your boot upon entry. They will 'wand' you on the way in, but won't go that low to detect metal there. At least they did not from my observation tonight. Once you're in the club, you're on your own. Seriously, protect yourselves!

I like that you can see shows of all kinds in the same night. You can buy tickets for the different show that are playing there that night. They have 3 or 4 stages in different parts of the building. The prices of drinks in not to bad compared to other venues. Sound quality is okay could be a little better on the smaller stages.

Not a bad venue, spacious and has a bar for those that are 21+. I had a great time. Only complaint would be the parking, which is not exactly the best, small parking lot and parking area requiring us to park far away. After we parked, the line was obscenely long and took forever to get in. Once things got moving it’s all good but that’s has nothing to do with the concert and venue experience once I was in. It’s just something to be aware of if you go.
