The Home Depot

"Good help is hard to find" was never more true than my visit to Home Depot @ Rhode Island Row today. We did eventually find help: one obviously new but very willing to help but wasn't able to; and the last two knew their stuff. It took 15 minutes to get the help we were looking for but we left empty handed.

It amazes me how this place can operate with the level of customer service they have. Never go on a Monday morning. Store associates are very unprofessional and unapproachable. It feels as if they are frustrated if you have any questions and they try to dodge working and providing any help. They point you in the wrong direction just to get you out of their face and then they leave so you have to find help from someone else. Save yourself some time and shop on amazon.

This Home Depot experience was one of the worst I’ve EVER experienced from any retailer in my entire life. It took three weeks to resolve the issue. Had to have several exchanges with customer service and the relocation department about the training of the staff here who ultimately were at fault. Although the store manager seems like a very nice gentleman the team is horrid. The assistant manager Kelvin was very unprofessional, untrained, and insulting. To make matters worse the company tried giving me a store credit to apologize and resolve the issue and when I went in the store to use it a cashier lead named Khalil comes over to the register beside me and confronts the young lady at the cashier IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS.. loudly saying ,” I’m tryna make sure you cover your own ass.. I’m just tryna make sure she covers her ass. I wanted someone else over here when I ask the question cause it was asked to me.” Both my self and the other customers where like WOW!

The parking lot is absolute chaos, be prepared to get ambushed by people looking for work and almost get run over by a few contractors not paying attention. The store itself isn't bad. Pretty typical Home Depot I guess.

This is probably the worst Home Depot on the planet. I live down the road so end up going there all the time for house stuff as it is so close. However the parking lot is like something out of mad max, and obtaining an item that is in stock is harder than getting bread in the former Soviet Union. But they do have a solid return policy.
