I was just at The Improper Bostonian this afternoon, 7/1, for Happy Hour with Jim Plunkett. I had very little issue with waiting in line from 2:45pm until 5:15pm. What I did find issue with, was the conduct of the staff. There was apparently a small altercation among patrons inside the bar, and when the participants came outside to leave willingly and of their own accord, the security staff took it upon themselves to physically assault these patrons in front of 100+ people in line to get in. One of the patrons being assaulted ran away, being punched and chased by no less than ten bouncers in bright blue or orange shirts. Once the Dennis Police Department showed up, they questioned the second individual that the bouncers apprehended. Then a bouncer came up to the line and announced that The Improper was no longer letting more people in for the daytime event. An older gentleman in a red shirt identifying himself as the GM then screamed at the police, which went over approximately as well as you could imagine... Prayers to the many out of shape bouncers, especially the individual that sprained his knee.

The drinks were kind of expensive, and were light with alcohol. There was an interesting mix of people attending the bar, including locals, tourist, a great place for special occasions

Fun times had by all. Gets crowded so get there early.
