The Mill Restaurant

The food is amazing and you get it really fast, especially for lunch. Great prices and a much bigger selection than most places. Very cozy inside. Staff makes you feel welcome. Outside patio area is really nice when the weather is good and they have a large staging area and another large bar in the back where live music events happen all the time. Overall its great place to eat or hang out whether you live in Iowa City or just visiting. A+

LATE NIGHT FOOD!!! ❤️ We were driving around Iowa city looking for a place to eat; everything closes at 9pm; we didn’t want another burrito so we went to The Mill. I ordered a dirty vodka martini which was PERFECT! The atmosphere is so great! I hope they don’t ever change the decor. I felt like I was transported back into how things were in the late 70s early 80s. Bathroom stalls have graffiti which just makes the world feel ok. It’s like a friendly silent conversation. (Who is Morgan!!?) We are definitely going to be regulars ❤️❤️ Sometimes you just don’t want to eat in the new 10 story building—you want the comfort of the perfect past

Came here after multiple people told us it was a great place to eat. It's a cute place and the employees are friendly but the food was not good. We ordered spaghetti and paid extra for meatballs that were awful/inedible. The garlic toast was burned. We never did get a drink refills for our water and the soda was flat and tasted bad. It also took a long time to get our bill despite there being very few patrons which is frustrating when dining with a child. It was also very cool. The booth seat by the window had a literal breeze blowing through. Overall, not good and after having spent over $40... a regretful meal.
