The Ready Room

The smaller venues provide an intimacy that you just cannot get at the larger ones. While the bar area tends to bottleneck, the bartenders have always furiously worked to reduce wait times. As a bartender myself, I understand. There's only so much one can do so fast. One of my favorite spots to catch the smaller acts.

There is a bar, but I never go over there because I didn't want to lose my spot. The main focus of the facility is the performance space, which is one large room. Single level floor space, so there are no improved vantage points. It is essentially just space to see bands. But they are bringing in good bands, so that is a plus. Sound was fair - not great, but not terrible. Not many places to sit down.

Pretty sweet venue in the Grove neighborhood of St Louis. Bar has some good craft beer selections along with a full bar. The concert area itself is pretty small which makes for a great view for the mpst part.

This is a pretty good low key venu. I see a lot of underground hip hop shoes here. The grown crowd is pretty tame and all about the music.

Great venue for small to mid-size shows. If crowd is 400+ (sell-out) it's gonna be a hot one May-Sept so dress accordingly.
