SOO good! Walked in on a holiday Monday around 12:30 and seated right away for 2. Ordered fried green tomatoes, hot & sweet fried chicken sandwich, biscuits & gravy with fried chicken, and Bloody Marys. Everything was very delicious! Their green goddess sauce was a tasty ranch substitute as well. Our waitress and the staff were all friendly & got us in and out quickly as we had to leave for a scheduled tour nearby. Would definitely recommend if you're on Magazine Street!
First morning in NOLA and stopped for breakfast - definitely did not disappoint! I joined the wait-list online while we were on our way, but it ended up being unnecessary as they weren't busy at all and we were seated right away. Within our group we had the sweet heat chicken and french toast bites, french toast bites, crawfish cakes, candied bacon, spring mimosa flight, and iced coffee. Everything was delicious. NOLA hospitality was in full effect. Ashley was our server - she was engaging, efficient, super friendly. Overall was just everything you could want for a start to a fun day in the city!
5 stars for the food. 0 stars for the Waiter/Bartender. With better service you get a 5 star review. Please find something else to do with your time serving is not your thing. 1. No greeting I sat at bar. 2. Finally got menu No drink order taken. 3. Took order Coffee requested cream and sugar, No sugar No Spoon No Silverware. 4. I moved to table hoping waitress would take over my seating. Nope. 5. Got food Requested more coffee. Food was positively delicious as it usually is at other locations. No coffee. 6. No check Requested passing waitress cash me out. 7. Love Ruby Slipper Just Not This Location Magazine St Next to Sake Cafe I’m a serious foodie, Don’t like negativity. On to a another Great New Orleans Restaurant.
Nice looking place to with a great crowd, I was just expecting more from my food. Average food price is probably 15 dollars, and you add drink and tip it's like 22 bucks and what I order wasn't that. The Spice Chicken and French toast, the idea was good the execution not there. The Staff was cool and offered great advice on food. Shrimp and grits were alright, it was just more money for alright food than I could have ate else where. The vibe is was cool.
This is a great place to go to during the week. The weekend is hard to get a table though. Especially since my motto is I DON'T WAIT FOR FOOD! However, after I had my celebratory leaving NOLA brunch I can see why else someone would want to wait for a table. The stuffed french toast was amazing! Kid-friendliness: The place offers high chairs for little kids and breakfast is for everyone! Parking: You can park on the street if it's available, however, make sure you check to see if you are in a meter area or a non metered one and there is a paid lot for another restaurant right next to it. I find it interesting though that Ruby doesn't make arrangements for their customers to use it during the week since they are not open at the same time. On the weekend I get it.
The food was good especially the Eggs Benedict Cochon my Dad already ate some before I took this picture and Breakfast Tacos. However our server was not very attentive and did not refill our coffees or check on us after bringing our food. The place was not busy at all so I’m not sure why we were mostly ignored. Just a lot of money to pay for one cup of coffee without a top up. I have been to other locations and had good experiences so I suspect this is atypical.
We had a great experience at the Ruby Slipper, Ashley our server was fantastic explaining the dishes we were interested in trying out. The breakfast cocktails were large and reasonably priced.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Our Lyft driver recommended that we go here and boy are we glad we listened! One of the best meals that we had in New Orleans. All of the food was delicious, perfectly cooked, with flavor combinations that meshed beautifully.
Poached eggs Trifecta and chicken and French toast were delicious! Great prices. Friendly wait staff. Mimosa flight was awesome.
Absolutely fabulous friendly staff, great food recommendations, and we stuffed ourselves silly. My wife got fried chicken with Mike's Hot Honey with French Toast bites. I had the Charles St. Charles, which is 2 poached eggs, on top of a fried chicken breast, all on top of two halves of a biscuit. The food was absolutely decadent. Our server, Ashley, was super-friendly and chatty. I couldn't be happier! Wonderful place that made me feel welcome and stuffed!
