This year will mark 2 years living at The Saulet. I've enjoyed it very much. The amenities really are incredible, I have always had very positive experiences when communicating with the staff in the office and my maintenance requests are usually handled pretty quick. I work in the CBD, so you cannot beat the location and I've met some super friendly neighbors who will remain life long friends of mine. I have had some minor issues, but nothing that could not be addressed or handled through communicating with management and the front office. Overall, I would recommend the Saulet for sure!
Continuously disappointed by the Saulet. There have been over a dozen car break-ins/thefts on the premises throughout the past few months and they have not done anything about it except send snarky emails to residents who complain about lack of security. The parking garages are clearly being targeted but they just don't care! How about getting security cameras? How about actually locking the gates? How about having police patrol the parking garages at nights? Management shows total disregard for our safety.
I reviewed these apartments about a year ago with one star because at the time, there was a lack of security with the gates and poor organization when it came to residential notices about various routine maintenance activities and leasing office/package room availability times. Since then, I have noticed an improvement with the gates. They seemed to be maintained better as opposed to always broken. I also noticed that maintenance is very quick when it comes to issues. I had a leaking roof over the summer. After putting in a request, maintenance was at my apartment within 2 hours. I was very impressed. Things that still need improvement: - Gates need a call box. This will make it easier for guests of residents to enter into the complex instead of having to walk/drive all the way to the gate to let someone in. This is very inconvenient. Most apartments have a way for the resident to press a button on their phone in order to allow their guests to enter through the gates. - Apartment hallways are full of stains on the ground. There should be quarterly pressure washing of the hallways in order to keep them from looking dirty and disgusting. This is a complaint that I've heard from not only residents but also visitors to these apartments. - Unreliable package room hours. The hours of the package room have been constantly changing on a weekly basis without proper notification to residents. Finding out that the package room is closed/will be closed by randomly seeing a sign posted outside the door is unacceptable. Residents should at least receive an email about the changes in order to better arrange the shipment of their packages. We should not have to make arrangements to have our packages delivered to other locations outside of our residence because this association refuses to make better changes.
Great community! Located near most of NOLA’s major restaurants, shopping and entertainment districts, as well as historical sites. Beautiful, lush greenery on the grounds, two swimming pools, and a large gym. Friendly staff too.
Move in June 2022. The apartment was dirty with a horrible smell on move in day. Maintenance was called out twice for toilet issues, gate is always open im actually shocked when i get to use my access card. The trash butler . Dirty Nasty stains in hallways definitely need a good pressure wash.I will not renew my lease
Hard to leave a worse review. After seeing rental listings and making an appointment and being reminded incessantly by text for our appointment we arrived on time to the office, waited 15 minutes, and did not see a single staff person. All four desks were unsecured and unoccupied. Numbered keys sat on a desk. We poked our heads into unoccupied side rooms and break room looking for anybody. We left.
Very misleading and false advertising. Made an appt. Waited in lobby to tour the 1 bdrm advertised for $1155. I was shocked to learn that rent will actually be $1400 due to misc fees they tack-on. I walked out.
Been here about 3 months now. Me and my fiancé LOVE IT. Very peaceful, clean and quiet. Maintenance is amazing and quick responses to anything u need. It’s everything we thought it would be.
The apartments are in a nice location near the CBD, French quarter, and garden district. The apartments are nice with great amenities however the people who manage the apartments are unorganized and unapologetic when it comes to being called out for their mistakes. Cory, completely mismanaged our leasing contract. Long story short we were left with literally two weeks to find another place to live when MANAGEMENT COMPLETELY MESSED UP COORDINATING MOVES IN/MOVES OUT. We always paid our rent on time, never had any issues with our neighbors and left our apartment pristine. Cory, completely screwed is over with his incompetence and this was the most unprofessional and appalling experience I have ever had in my entire life. I would never recommend this place for anyone, especially for Tulane medical students.
My husband and I lived here for about five months. We felt that the staff was supportive and fair during that time, and we really had no major problems. The organization was even fair about giving us our deposit back, which not usually the case for us when we rent apartments. The price is fairly expensive but the location is great. The apartments do not have a garbage disposal. I always felt safe in our apartment. Yet, the security gate did not always work. If I had to do it all over again, I would still rent from the Saulet during our temporary stay in New Orleans. I would have used a different service provider than Cox Communications though. Our biggest problem during our stay was having issues canceling our Cox service when we moved.
