The Smith

Wandered into the Smith for a Friday dinner and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent—I had the shrimp & grits and recommend that you do the same. The wait wasn't bad (30 minutes at 8PM on a Friday) and the staff were courteous and attentive. Ambiance is great. Highly recommended.

I met a friend for lunch the other day. This is clearly a very popular lunch place--it was packed! The space was a little loud and you are definitely paying Manhattan prices. Still, the decor is classic and the food was really good. If I were meeting someone in the area, I would definitely go again but it probably isn't a place that I will travel to specifically.

I have been here many times before. This is really nice place with really good food and atmosphere. Really nice menu and well executed. We had fish, chicken and waffles and steak, all of them were great. Try duck wings they really delicious. I love the way they sell wine by carafe, great value.

Enjoyed splitting the Caesar salad and the smith burger with my daughter. We sat outside and it had a lovely dinner. Lincoln Center was just across the street, hustle and bustle all around us. Perfect!

The Smith is always excellent w food sensitivities. I follow an autoimmune protocol diet and am thrilled w the awareness and service related to this. Plus the food is always minimally processed, consciously sourced and delicious! I am almost afraid to go anywhere else.
