The Waters of Minocqua

Very nice and clean place, friendly staff. Very laid back and not over crowded swimming area. My 5 year old had a blast. Heated pools and relaxing indoor/ outdoor hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend checking it out. Only couple minutes to downtown Minocqua shops as well.

The entire place really has that up north feel! Great place for a getaway, located just outside of downtown Minocqua. Need a break from the winter... The Waters also has indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub, kiddie play pool and two slides. Game room also located right next to pool and a neat little craft shop! Great place to bring the kids for a day! Ask about their birthday party package to host your kids next birthday!

Loved it! Wonderful slides, hot tub and pool! The arcade was good to, but some of the games malfunctioned. The food was very good as well! The slides were my personal favorite! They were great! Though I wish they would add even MORE slides seeing as there are only 2. Overall, I LOVED IT

Our family was very unhappy with the whole experience. I was unhappy to see how small our room was for five of us since there wasn't a very good description of the rooms. When we checked in on Thursday night the lady behind the counter wasn't very helpful and didn't seem to know what she was doing, she didn't explain anything about the hotel when breakfast was hours of the pool or check out. I actually found all the information in the book in our room or from the other couple that was with us that checked in on Friday with a different person. Our sheets on one bed were stains so we took the one off couldn't complain unless we called the front desk and that was hit or miss because staff was hard to find unless it was Saturday. The pool area was run down full garbage cans and trash on all the tables. Saturday night a children went to the bathroom in the kiddie pool and none of the lifeguards knew what to do. During this time a child was stuck on the stairs to the slides because the lifeguard closed the stairs off. The other lifeguard had to leave watching the other pool to try and figure out what to do with the kiddie pool, there was no protocol in place for when things like this happen. Then when the kiddie pool was finally closed the one lifeguard was walking about with the skimmer and hit a child in the head with pole. It was complete chaos with no one in charge. The arcade was awful for the kids, half of the games are broken or don't work properly. The same lifeguards that work the pool manage the arcade and ticket counter. The pool and arcade definitely could use some improvements. The complimentary breakfast wasn't anything to brag about for as large of a hotel it is its very limited and didn't seem like enough food for everyone there, then on Sunday morning they offer more food (hot food) which none of us knew about until checking out. I get that it's included in the room, but there are other or better options a hotel could do for their breakfast. The Sunday morning "special" breakfast is not advertised anywhere in the hotel. When we checked out on Sunday, the lady that actually checked me out of my room was the guest service manager and I explained all of this to her, as well as the other couple that was with me did the same. She told us that she couldn't do anything about the pool experience except bring it up at the meeting on Monday to everyone. She also told me if I would have said something to someone at the desk WHEN it happened she would have been able to handle it then. She told me and the other couple that she hopes this doesn't stop us from returning and we both told her that we definitely won't be back. That didn't seem to bother her because everyone else that checked out today had no I but good things to say about their stay. We will never be back

We stayed here last weekend, and had a wonderful time. That's where it ends! We used a group-on for the room which is great. They then charged us $80.94 which is typical to hold the amount for incidentals, but nope they charged are account. We then called and asked for them to refund the amount as nothing was wrong and they agreed. NOW instead of refunding the account they charge us AGAIN! A week later we are now down $160 for nothing and the manager is NO help and refusing to help us! STAY AWAY!!!!!! NOT WORTH THE PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!
