I can’t really speak on how they handle claims since we’ve only had this insurance for two months... however, it has been a nightmare so far. We were told on 4-20-2018 that we have until 5-27-2018 to replace our entire roof. We just purchased this home in February and it is only 10 years old. I asked to see the inspection that showed damage to our roof. Looked at the paper work and there is not a single thing listed wrong with the entire house. The inspector even stated that the roof has an expected 11-15 years remaining on its life. So why in the world would they force us to replace the roof within a month if their own inspector gave us at least 11 years left on our roof?! So far I have been given ZERO explanation and not any documentation of why our roof would need to be replaced. I’ve asked multiple times and all I received in return was “if you send us photos of the roof, we may be willing to reconsider”.. not a single explanation and no formal letter in regards to any of this. I don’t have thousands of dollars to replace a roof that the tower hill inspector said there was nothing wrong with.
***edited to add*** after talking with our insurance person, we were told Tower Hill has decided to rescind the cancellation of our insurance. We do not have to replace our roof.

My policy was due for renewal with Security First but they raised my premium substantially! No apparent reason. Then I contacted an Allstate agent (new agent) to find out if there is another company that writes homeowner policy in Tampa Bay area. To my surprise, I found out that Tower Hill started writing policies in the Tampa Bay area. After I got the quote from the agent, I realized that my premium dropped 50% with TH.
It was a cool $800.00 saving with Tower. And all I did was a phone call to my agent.
--->> Always look for better deals and don't settle with what your existing agent tells you!!
Just a quick update.... since i switched to TH, they have sent me two cancellation letters asking me to pay more for premium or they will cancel my policy in two weeks!!! I am not sure if it was a case of bait and switch or someone made a big mistake. I will update this post with new developments.

Very dishonest and does not follow through with claims. Our roof got damaged during a spring storm. We had three roofing companies do an inspection and all three said the entire roof needed to be done. We filed a claim with Tower Hill and they sent an adjuster to inspect the roof. he said the roof was fine and about 10 shingle were missing and it doesn't meet the amount of the claim. So we escalated the issue and and got a public adjuster and he inspected the roof and follow through with the claim. Tower Hill denied the claim again and now we have an attorney to sue tower hill for the claim. Meanwhile shingles fall off our roof every time it rains. Tower Hill Insurance is a dishonest company who will never pay on a claim unless you have an attorney get involved. If we switch Insurance companies they wont cover us unless we replace the roof because of the damage. Shame on you Tower Hill!!!

DO NOT USE! COMPLETE CON Read the other reviews and read my story:
* Slow claims
* Will drop you without knowledge or answers
* Will hit you with unnecessary charges
* Inflexible, awful response time
My story, I preface this by stating I did reach out to the email address they comment on with negative reviews and their customer service line, I am still waiting to hear back from them and underwriting. My insurance producer alerted them I would be taking out a construction loan on the house and would have 60 days from closing to complete the work, roof included. Tower Hill wrote the contract with this in mind, not the new roof. After signing and paying my premium in full I get a $1,000 bill, my assumption is it is for the accepting the risk for 60 days of a roof missing shingles. Not a problem, I am annoyed however being an MBA grad with two kids, I understand risk.
However, next letter I received is one stating they are canceling the policy effective end of the month. No warning, just a list of issues to fix before the date. All problems are fixed, minus the roof that needs to be completed per the BANK 18 days into the following month. Proof of contract was sent to Tower Hill, pictures proving other issues were taken care, vet records had to be submitted to convince my dog was a nonharmful breed.
My insurance producer reached out to Tower Hill to come up with a solution. However, they said they would not accept anything. I even contacted them warning them I would review them on any and all social media with my story of their attempt at extortion, lack of customer care, and overall disregard for consumers.

In almost 50 years of home ownership I have filed two insurance claims. The last one happened a couple of months ago and was with Tower Hill Insurance. I was dreading the process of filing a claim for our water damage. There was no need for fear, everyone involved was very helpful. The process moved swiftly and pleasantly. I received a settlement check in a short time. All contact with Tower Hill was professional and helpful.
