Twins Ace Hardware

Bought a BBQ from the Ace website, with the offer of free assembly and delivery. I got a call today from this Ace saying my BBQ was in, but they can't deliver because I live outside their delivery zone. It appears that the website order didn't have a way to notice the buyer if their home was outside of the delivery zone. We're 20 miles away from this Ace - which is the nearest to our home. However, a short time later, the store personnel called back and said they are going above-and-beyond to deliver the BBQ anyway. They've earned my business and deep appreciation. 5 STARS!!!

Great small family run hardware store. Very good selection for its size, and friendly staff. I would so much rather shop here than one of the impersonal chain giants.

I am new to this area, during moving process, the glass of my favorite painting was broken. I went to a couple of places to replace it. But they either told me the size was too large, (35”x35”) or gave me the price estimated around $150. Some friend introduced me ofTwins Ace , I went there, no problem, they kept my frame there for a couple of days. Now, the painting is on my wall again, and price was $25. Thank you so much for you excellent service.

Very helpful staff. They even carted ten bags of potting soil and loaded my into my van without even being asked. I will definitely shop here more often.

It saddens me to write this review as we have have been supporters of Twins for several years now. We’ve bought all of our Stihl products here....2 blowers, 2 chainsaws, weed trimmer, etc. I took out weed eater in this morning for repair after talking with Matt yesterday and received what I can only say was horrible customer service. The Stihl tech on duty didn’t even want to wait on me and only did so after trying to get 2 other people to do it. I realize Matt wasn’t there today but this guy didn’t even want to take it so that Matt could work on it first thing Monday morning. He wanted me to come back Monday as he was too busy to even write up the ticket. Told me he wouldn’t even touch it because he was so busy. I understand busy. EVERYONE is busy. I knew full well going in today that it wasn’t going to get worked on until today. But seeing as I’m “busy” as well it worked best for me to drop off today and come back next week. Needless to say I left and went to VA Outdoor Power Equipment. The “busy” Stihl tech could have cared less that I was taking my business elsewhere. One of the best things about Twins is that seem to hire people that appear to love their job....this guy not so much. Which is unfortunate. Their Stihl repair shop is one of the main reasons we keep going back. Now I’m left looking for somewhere else to go.
