U-Haul at Whalley Ave

Don't ever rent from this branch. They overcharged for gas and mileage almost 100 for just 4 hours. I was moving from west haven to hamden and it was an $100 trip?? Absolutely not. I once rented from the hamden branch and it came up to 45 bucks. Thats where you need to rent. Youve been warned.

I had the most upsetting situation happen to me at this location. When I went to return the small box truck I borrowed I was charged 3 times the amount I was quoted for. The assistant manager said I needed to pay for hand truck and furniture dollies that I did not use because she claimed that her employees had done a sweep of the truck before renting it out. The dollies were inside the truck and I was rented the truck like that. They charged me 42$, then 50$ then 152$. The manager insinuated that I took the dollies out without permission in other words calling me a thief. I’m waiting for all of the charges to post. If I’m not credited what I did not use I’m going back w a police officer because I did no sign a contract using the additional hand truck that weren’t taken out when I rented the truck. Never again.

I've used this company twice and these folks have gone above and beyond to provide the best service. This uhaul site is a busy site but the staff are always gracious and do the best they can to serve their customers. Moreover, I noticed that they wish their customers a blessed and good day- always with genuine care. I personally thank, Jason, Ed, Robert and the other staff for helping make my move less stressful!! Please know that what you do for New Haven movers and shakers is appreciated!! Y'all deserve a bonus or something!!! Thanks!!
