First color appt was good, second time came back wanting something much different. Stylist told me no problem. Didn’t end up anything like the pic I showed her, $180 later, came back in for a retry and ended up looking worse than the first attempt 🤦🏼♀️ I won’t be back for the salon services. I’m now searching for a color specialist or color corrector.

About 8 mos. after a accident (major head trauma) my hair was long enough to cut and style.The cut I got was great and looked good when growing out. So pleased. Went back, got a different person and though the cut was not great, I asked her to follow the same lines ,just take it up an inch maybe 2. Figured it will grow out and at these prices the next will surely be better. Well I was so very wrong.The next time was a little worse, the stylist had no idea how to cut layers so I wore a head band for a couple mos. and did a little home trimming. The last and FINAL time was a nightmare.First I got a call that morning telling me the person I booked with was not coming in (it was one of the first really nice Thursdays we had in a long time) and I could reschedule.Due to my schedule I had to keep my original appt. The young lady assured so knew what she was doing so in I went.First she only water sprayed my hair, no wash,ok.An inch off the front,2 inches off the back and lots of layers, she seemed to understand. My hair was past my collar in the back and the front was just to my chin. With in 2mins one side was half way up my ear and cut straight across. I stopped her, told her that in no way was what I wanted and to get another stylist.Well then there went the back, Only about a half inch long in some places. I told them to stop and get someone else quickly, I was in tears. They made several calls and the Assist Mngr told them the damage was already done and she would not be coming in. My hair was plastered to my head,I looked like a man.I was absolutely horrified. I had to leave the store looking like that. There was some apologies but no solution. I had to wait 2 days before they could "fit" me in. Calling corporate I recieved a $50.00 ecard for the next cut. To be fair I wasn't charged for the fix, the Assist Mngr was not any where to be found for a follow up or an apology either.So here I am about 2 mos later and after LOTS of biotin my hair is almost 3 inches long in the shortest spots and 5 inches at the longest. Theres my tale. I spent the ecard on makeup. Ya know when you get a hair cut and people you know mention they notice? Well trust me. not ONE person said anything about my hair.

I love going to Ulta for all of my makeup and skin care products, but I prefer the Apple Valley location. I work right across from the Eagan location, but every time I go in the workers are completely rude. They don't show me where the products are that I ask about, and instead just point. Most of them are not even knowledgeable of the products they sell and I have had them roll their eyes at me just for asking a question. I now just go in and go out so I don't have to deal with the disrespectful customer service.

Had a wonderful experience. Had no idea what I needed and got one on one help. One of the most fun experience I ever had!!

They are very helpful here when they want to be, or if they don't think you have money they can ignore you for about 25 minutes. That is impressively difficult in a retail setting.
