Mai Hoa Beauty Salon

Last time I went in for an ombré but the lady gave me highlights.... which was pretty disappointing. But this place has always been the only salon that I go to that’s affordable. I highly recommend going on the weekdays because it can get super busy. Also if you do make an appointment, I highly recommend Trang because she always does a great job.

Very affordable Asian hairsalon with decent service. I have never been to American hairsalon, so I cannot compare Mai Hoa with them. However, Mai Hoa has more stylists that do great haircuts, and they somewhat stick to their reservation schedule. It provides a very good balance among haircut style, affordability, and quality of service. PS, By “somewhat”, I mean you will probablyly receive haircut within 30 mins of the scheduled time.

I went there a couple times for hair cuts and color. My overall comment is that customer service sucks. They don’t care about you and they make it clear. It’s typical for Asian places to be like this, my problem was that they don’t listen to me about what I want and they just do what they think is better without consulting with me. It’s my hair! Also, I tipped all the time, but it was not because I liked my hair or hair dresser. I just felt obligated to. I wish I had a better experience every time I give them a chance but I won’t be going back there.

I feel unsatisfied, they cut my hair not like what I want. It look not good.

I got my hair cut last weekend, I feel unhappy. I choose the shoulder-length but she cut my hair higher than that. I look like my grandma. If you choose the hair not popular in America, make sure they can do it.
