Ultra Modern Pool & Patio Inc

I bought a spa at the State Fair this year. I originally wanted to be able to have music on my spa by using Bluetooth but the person I bought it from told me I needed speakers only not the stereo. The guy did not work for Ultra Modern, but after the sale I was given to one of the managers. I was disappointed they did not catch that issue prior to my spa being built. After the spa was installed and I realized it, I called. They were kind enough to give me a set of upgraded speakers but I have to spend another $1200.00 to have a stereo. As for the installation and working with the staff, they were all very kind and helpful. Definitely a first class operation in my opinion.

Ultra Modern was not the first store I visited when shopping for a hot tub. Why did I choose Ultra Modern? Thier staff was friendly, non pushy and most importantly properly trained. I was recommended to go to another pool store where the staff didn’t know anything about the tubs nor prices. Ultra Modern was the best quality for the price that was within my budget. Excellent customer service and still to this day continues to be friendly and helpful. I visit regularly to have my water tested by machine. Thank you guys! Keep up the excellent customer service. Hard to find these days.

Jeff, Deb and all staff at the east side location were awesome from start to finish. They answered all my questions and went above and beyond to ensure my new above ground was everything I wanted and hoped for. I would highly recommend Ultra Modern to any one wanting a pool, they are the best!!

I purchased a pool from Ultra Modern in August 2016 and contracted installation with Will Grimmest, formerly of First Start Pools, now employed by Ultra Modern Pool and Patio. When he installed my 20x40 foot above ground pool he did not put any concrete under the side rails of the pool. The walls did not hold and he had to drain the pool and retroactively install concrete footings under the side rails. He also left my pool in a shallow depression when he excavated the ground, so all water that came over the side or any rain water collected at the base of the pool. It was very rainy last August and September and water sat at the base of the pool for weeks before it was dry enough for me to have someone backfill the dirt so the water would drain away from the pool. When I did try to have this done I realized Will had installed the pump and filter below grade and I had to have him come back and reinstall it above grade so I could fill the dirt in so water would stop pooling at the base of the pool. When I opened my pool this spring I realized the entire south end had sunk several inches and was no longer level. When I asked Ultra Modern for an explanation they insisted it was because I overfilled the pool once the past August, completely ignoring the fact that Will's negligence had caused my pool to sit with water at the base for weeks on end. At Will's recommendation I stopped treating the water in my pool while I waited for him to come "fix" the pool once again. He raised the south end and told me how to clean the pool and his recommendation led to the liner being ruined at which point he stated he would not be coming back to fix the pool any more. Ultra Modern insists it was Will who caused all the issues with my pool, and they are correct. However, they are still using him to install their pools, so beware when you buy a pool from them. They hire incompetent installers and then wash their hands of responsibility when that person does not do a good job.
