Umi Japanese Restaurant

Food is good BUT there is eel sauce on most rolls AND they use a liberal amount of that eel sauce on them rolls too. So everything becomes 1 note of flavor swimming in sweet eel sauce. They should have warned us and offered eel sauce on the side. We spent a lot of money there and everything tasted the same. I usually love eel sauce and ask for it on the side but reserve the right to add it myself as a condiment and not have it force fed to me

Worst service ever. Food for four came on shifts that did not allow eating together. Had to ask twice for child's food. No eye contact. Plates handed to us to place on table while looking elsewhere. We have been here several times and this was likely the last time. Food was not of the quality of previous visits. They knew they are not serving well and didn't offer any apology. Had to even wait for checks. I've always thought this place great but not tonight

This place was amazing. Their version of crab Rangoon is probably the best I have ever had. The wait staff was great, the sushi was absolutely amazing and generous portions, the pricing was perfect. It is my favorite sushi place ever plus you get free soup and salad with your sushi order! The kids noodles tasted incredible too!

This was by far the worst place I have eaten when it comes to Japanese, I will start with my drink. I have ordered crown and coke doubles every time I eat and i was lucky to even realize there was alcohol in it at all. Then when our meal came it was literally floating in sauce, not to mention it was wrong. I ordered the chicken steak and shrimp and only got chicken. Then to top it off the noodles were chewy and the rice was bland. Once they corrected our order the steak literally tasted like it was soaked in lighter fluid and the shrimp was chewy. Finally we got our sushi, "which we love btw" and it was the worst tasting sushi I've ever eaten. It literally tasted like it was catfish from the river!! I'm not the type to complain but for a 140 dollar bill I will never eat here again!!!

Friendly staff, and no wait time! Waiter was eager to explain the signature sushi rolls and make recommendations. Ordered the crab puffs for an appetizer. They're light and flaky egg rolls, but filled with cream cheese and crab; very tasty! For dinner we ordered the eel, spicy crab, and ninja rolls. Ninja rolls are one of their signatures and they were great (as were their other rolls)! Perfect place for a date night! We'll definitely be back.
