Wayo Japanese Restaurant

I am not kidding when I say this is the best sushi I have ever had. I have gone to many sushi places and have not found one that matches this place for quality, freshness, and taste. The owner is extremely friendly (you’ll notice her making the sushi behind the bar). You might not think you can get such good sushi in the Midwest but this place proves that wrong! I also like that they come up with there own sushi rolls which makes it fun to try something new. Sad we moved away... haven’t found anything as good here.

This is one of our favorite date night restaurants. The private booths are comfortable and somewhat exotic. I will admit that with our lower class income the prices make it so that we typically leave still a little hungry but the experience with the aluminum chopsticks and literally gourmet sushi make it always worth what we spend. I was very impressed the one time I was here. I was with a large group and the service was good and the food was amazing. However when I wanted to bring a large group and called ahead to tell them, they basically told me no. I had to move the dinner Tina different location. I can't help but wonder if I had not called ahead, what would they have done of we had just shown up. I know that dinner time is busy, that is why I called to let them know, but telling us no rather than making arrangements with more than 48 hours notice really turned me off. I am not sure I will go back after the conversation I had with the manager. He was very condescending and made it clear that he didn't care if he lost our business.

One of the best places for lunch! The staff is always very friendly and have great recommendations if you want to try something new. I don't know about dinner time but there's never a wait for lunch, in and out quickly.
