This post office NEVER answers the phone. They always have an attitude, no one smiles, is just #Next Someone here answered the phone without speaking, just listening, places me on hold for over 30mins comes back to check the line, says nothing then place me back on hold. I've been on hold for over an hour and haven't spoken to anyone yet. My package was to be redelivered today and I received a regular package without the redelivery item. When I put the request in for today, they called to confirm if I would be home, I told them it was for Saturday, he said it does say the 13th. Then delivers a package and leaves the redelivery. Now it's Phone games with this post office. I had many packages go back to sender because I never knew there was an attempted delivery bc there was no slip. Wondering why my package is taking so long I track it and it's been sitting at the PO nearly 2wks. I've sent certified mail and to this day taking shows not delivered. They just have to do better all the way around at this place. Starting with pace and staffing. Horrible.
Being a Harlem native all my life. I know the community very well. I visited this post office on Saturday 12/9/23.Which is my local post office. It was a pleasure. I was in search of a package that was not delivered to my home. I did not have a postal receipt or any other proof of delivery. All I was able to provide is the information form the vendor's app. Ms. Tiffany Harvey was extremely helpful and patient with assisting with my issues. She found my package. I like to commend Ms.Harvey on excellent customer service.
The US Post Office on 137 Street and 5th Ave is a disaster and the Employee's called out on Saturday April 6th 2024 and I arrived at 8:45 am and I stood in line up until 9:20 am and I rung the bell for assistance for over 10 minutes and still no employee came for assist us and finally we was told that Post Office is closed for today Saturday and I was unable to retrieve my package and this was unacceptable
I received an email notification stating that a package was delivered to that post office 2266 Fifth Ave and that it would be ready for pick up. I went to the Post Office and 2 USPS front desk workers refused to even look up the tracking or help me locate my package. They simply told me to look it up using the kiosk or go to a different post office. I left without any confirmation of where my package actually was. Those two front desk workers were so rude and laughed in my face when I simply asked if they would help me located the package. Maybe USPS should be privatized instead of paying for the wages of people who don’t even want to be there or work.
well I gave it a star Because I have no other option but that is the worst post office I have visited not because of the place but because of the employees or because of the employee who attended me I say she attended me but she didn't I asked her a question and the young lady answered me in an inappropriate way and stood up from her seat. I thought she was going to come out and explain to me what I wanted to know, but what a surprise to me when she stopped to stop attending to me. I wonder if you are not happy with your job or what you doing for a living resign so that someone who needs to work with better attitude can get the place you guys are occupying! Btw you are in Risk of the place get closed down and then all you will lose your jobs! So be careful how you treat others at your workplace!
I've had a package left in the mail room in the lobby where it was likely stolen. It should've gone in the locker provided by the building. This is the second package to go missing this week. I left a complaint with the postal inspector online. The carriers aren't held responsible when they mishandle packages. Their needs to be an audit of that post office. People need to send complaints to the postmaster general and the postal inspector online. Maybe with enough complaints something will be done.
One of the worst Post Office in the community!! Their workers has been stealing public parking from the community for years and whenever you confront them, they get confrontational, especially a Puerto Rican woman who loves to take a public parking for herself. The USPS trucks are government property, they can park anywhere and not get a ticket, is just crazy how they have parking in front and back of the post office and still want to be mess up to the community.
If it's possible not to leave a star, i would. How do you operate with one staff and about 10 people on queue. It's Tuesday for crying out loud. This is very bad! Fix this!!!
An embarrassment to the community. Machines are often out of order, service is poor and last time I went, they didn’t have stamps and didn’t know when they’d be getting more…at the post office. Fix it or shut it down already.
They never pick up scheduled packages. They Never scan packages and thats why they get lost so often. Phone has been broken for 4 months, manager aware and reported but not fixed. Spoke to 800 and they are no help. They cant call out but they sent messages to local spot and no one is fixing issues that have been going on for over 15 years now with my mail. The line is always out the door at least a 45min wait if you're lucky. Took over 1 hour just to buy some stamps. The workers are always very rude and ghetto as hell- get rid of them.
