I don't often leave a 1 star review, but this location certainly earned it. Well done, the short version is they couldn't find my package the first time, to which I spent 4+ hours running around to different offices because they told me it was sent to my old address only to wind up back here, which they then somehow miraculously found it the second time. Since I'm a fan of venting on the internet, here's the full story for your reading pleasure... After waiting in line for 20 minutes for a simple package pickup that had the wrong address on it from the sender and the site saying it was held at this facility, I went down to check myself... They couldn't find my package despite looking for it "in the back" and checking their PC information which they just told me the same thing the site did. They then told me they were certain it was being shipped to my old address for some reason. After going on a chase across Vancouver and Portland to various USPS offices looking my package for 4 hours, one of the Vancouver post offices informed me that my package WAS at THIS location the first one I visited. This, after showing multiple people my tracking number on my phone and them calling up the delivery guy directly who I then met physically at my mailbox and we proceeded to check all of the other boxes for my package. So I drive BACK to this post office, and after waiting in line for another 30 minutes the guy hands it off to his coworker to check the back, who then found my package... The reason? Despite giving the tracking number the first time, they must have looked it up based off my address rather than the number I provided them, because the package I went looking all over town for was my brother's package. I would be upset, but I'm actually impressed
Umm can someone tell me why I got this and why the postman didn't go up the elevator and come to my apartment as I live in an APARTMENT??? I have been home all morning as I work from home. This package contains medication that I have been waiting for. And I didn't even get a chance to sign for it!! This needs looked at immediately. Delivery Attempt: Action Needed Notice Left No Authorized Recipient Available
Often i’ll go to drop off a package here, and they’re closed even though it’s within their “open” hours. Uggggh
Love the service the postal workers at the register. They are every nice and helpful wrapping the package. I have a bad arm so it's nice we they help me with my items.
They never get the message. Long line with one person working with customers and several others hang around the counter doing something else -- but not serving the customers. I think they enjoy aggravating the public. They should wear a sign around there neck that says, "Hey, I am too busy to help you."
Drivers don’t follow delivery instructions. Good luck with any mail requiring a signature because they will not bring it to your door if you live in an apartment building nor will they leave you a notice of any kind for you to reschedule or pick it up at the location. They lose track of packages. Countless times I’ve tried to track a package or pick it up and they can’t locate it. This is unacceptable. Can drivers just do their job please?
Every single time I come here it's always something. The first time, there was one lady that was extremely rude for me not knowing the address of my recipient right away. The second time, there was obscene yelling in the back like a man was telling a child to get off their phone or something but in pretty sure there's only employees there.. Then that same day, I ask if I can use the tape to close up my package, and the clerk says the customers can't use the tape?? since when can you not tape up packages at a facility that literally sends out packages?? the third and most recent time, it's about closing time and there's a line to the door and only one clerk, but two other employees are visible. one sitting doing some work on a computer and one seems like they're gonna stand by the door when it's time to close. that's all fine, I can understand if you guys are understaffed and I respect that I don't really care, but the one woman that was about to stand by the door to let customers leave after closing tells the one doing work on the computer to help customers and they both have an attitude with each other. it's not professional and I know you guys are probably struggling but stop acting like you have the worst job in the world. we can see how you treat your employees, your coworkers, and your customers. that same employee got up and starting helping custom finally but in her tone and the way she ignored customers as they talked showed how bad her customer service was. but don't take it out on others it's not worth it
Just want to publicly thank the Postal Carrier that delivered to my home on Jan 10. I was annoyed when an Amazon deliverer placed a package right in front of my screen door when I clearly have instructions to place on the side of the porch out of view of passers by, but I imagine sometimes they don’t care to follow delivery instructions. Well, I have my medication delivered via mail and the postal carrier always leaves it inside of my screen door. I had the picture that my Amazon delivery was already there and the postal carrier must’ve placed that package along with my medication inside of the screen door. Just a big thank you to you and that is appreciated!
They removed the letterbox from the sidewalk so there is no longer any way to drop off mail after hours... This makes using USPS very difficult for someone who works graveyard. They literally park the mail vans right where the letterbox was. So it's not like it was too far away to go and collect. I'm sure it's not the fault of the individuals working at this location. But think about it. We're living in a world where, due to budget cuts or something similar the post office is no longer able to... walk outside and empty a single bin?! Let's say it takes a full 5 minutes to empty the letterbox. Let's say they used to empty it three times a day six days a week. That's 90 minutes a week. That's 78 hours a year. At $20/hr that's about $1500/yr. You're telling me USPS can't afford $1500/year?
Don't know why they got bad reviews. I've used this post office for 10+ years. I've always had great, friendly service. I've probably visited 50 times. I've seen really crabby customers, but haven't seen the staff act negatively. Some people can be so entitled. It's a post office. They do their job. I have the best postal carrier ever. He's out of this office. He knows it's difficult for me to get around. He's offered to help me get signed up for "hardship" which means he would deliver to my house rather than having to go to the mailbox a couple blocks away. He's the best.
