Went into the Vacheron Constantin boutique the other day to drop off some watches for service. The new boutique is very nice and much bigger than the old one on Madison avenue although they didn't have a ton of watches in stock this time. In any event the customer service was excellent as usual, Vacheron is one of my favorite brands. They have been a pleasure to deal with on the service side throughout the years.
Today I purchased my first VC. In the previous days, I have come to know Steven as a knowledgeable, informative, reliable sales person on a mission to deliver the highest expectations in respect to my buying experience. He has exceeded and managed my expectations with poise and respect. Relationships are important not only in watch collecting, but life in general. Steven will continue to be my main point of contact as my love and collection for VC grows.
NO WATCHES FOR SALE. Great watch store we really enjoy going to they put us on the list and we only have five more years to wait until we get a chance to buy one of their watches. The lady said that if we waited the full five years they could not guarantee what model we would get or the price. That seemed ok to us so we had 6 people from our family get on the list. Check back in 5 years and see what model we got!!! LOL. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 7 million views in 2021 and we thank you for that. We don't get paid, we just love to eat. Be sure to click on "RobH" at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you like good food.
Finally had the opportunity to visit the Vacheron Constantin flagship boutique in NYC and it was great! The space is absolutely luxurious and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. And, of course, the time pieces are also true horological works of art! Excited to see what VC does in the future and highly recommend a visit to the NYC location!
I have lived in Midtown for years and walked past the old Boutique on Madison and now this location hundreds of times combined, and despite my love for watches and the VC brand in particular, I was hesitant to enter. I was previously not in the position to purchase a VC watch, so I was happy to admire from afar and not bother the sales staff. Eventually we had a freezing cold NYC weekend and I knew no one else would be out shopping when the store opened, so I decided that today was my day to drop in and ask some questions. I knew they were not going to have the watch I was looking for, but was hopeful to check out the flagship store for a favorite brand! I was greeted by a sales associate who called me by the wrong name, thinking that I was someone they were expecting someone for an appointment. There was no one else in the store except 2-3 other staff, so I assumed they would hand me off to a colleague, but it was awkward as they instead seemingly just tried to get me out of the store as fast as possible before their appointment arrived. I was asked what was in my collection Rolex, IWC, Omega, Grand Seiko, etc, to which their response was "no holy trinity." and I explained I had admired the brand for years and was looking for a taste of high horology. I have done this song and dance for years with many high-end watch brands as they size you up based on your collection and ask questions about your job to gauge buying power, etc so I came prepared for an "interview"... but once the sales associate realized that every watch I owned was a stainless steel sports watch, the energy left their body. No offer of water. No information on the brand or their history outside of a one liner on them being the longest consecutive manufacturer of watches. After acknowledging my taste/interest, they suggested I buy a dress watch to start a relationship and maybe a sports watch would be available in 3-5 years. Did not even ask what reference or dial color I was looking for to determine a timeline. I had not even had a chance to get my winter jacket off at this point and they pointed at the display and said take a look but did not even follow me over when I looked back. At this point the entire exchange was comically bad and I said I would be back in 3-5 years to hopefully see a watch and politely exited the store in well under 5 minutes. I was not expecting to be sold an Overseas, but I was expecting to meet a brand representative that could provide a VC experience/knowledge/history that my AD could not. Luckily, Wempe on Fifth Avenue sells VC and is happy to show you watches and converse. I understand the supply/demand dynamics have shifted in favor of the suppliers, but this watch brand's equity is already on fire with the lowest secondary market premiums among the "holy trinity" and it is no surprise after this experience. Great watches, questionable customer service. Do not buy a watch you do not want to hopefully get the one you do in 3-5 years... just pay the small grey market premium, or don't.... because the days of no one wanting VC are quickly returning and these quoted time frames are nonsense. My colleague was recently offered a white dial dual-time no purchase history after 3 months, which he declined... giving me inspiration and hope... but now happy to buy from my AD. Great watches I will still gladly recommend, but buy them from your AD or grey. Do not waste a second here.
Thank you Loni for making my first purchase into the VC world. The Overseas is truly stunning in person. The depth of the blue must be seen in person to fully appreciate. Hopefully this will be the 1st of other VC watches.
Spectacular customer service from the oldest manufacturer of fine watches, for huge collections of Swiss watches, don’t miss the midtown store. Conveniently located on Billionaire Row 28 East Fifty-Seventh Street, NYC
This was my first time visiting the store and let me start of with the sale associate was very nice and genuine. The store is very eloquent and clean with several watches on display. I spoke the associate about the Overseas self-winding but, unfortunately there were none in stock. They explain the watch is in very high demand and therefore they have none in stock. However; I was inform I could put myself on the wait-list for the watch. I wanted this watch 6 months ago but, thought I never get a chance to purchase it. Now I am ecstatic to be on the wait-list. I waited a year for my rolex submariner and I don't mind waiting couple of years for Overseas. The VC Overseas self-winding is beautiful watch and it will be part of my collections one day. Thank you
Had a chance to visit the store with my 10-year-old son over the weekend. It was the first time for both of us. Our sales person, Loni, was terrific. She was knowledgeable and very attentive. She was also very kind to my young son. We enjoyed looking around the boutique and seeing all the amazing pieces on display. Although we didn’t make a purchase that day the watch I was looking for was unfortunately not available, we will certainly be back in the near future. Hopefully I will get the call for the first of many Vacherons.
This NYC VC Flagship boutique is truly breathtaking. Nina, Boutique Manager, thank you for showing us the boutique and talking about the brand. I hope to visit the boutique soon when my watch arrives.
