Vern’s Wrecker & Recovery Service

Vern,towing is a sorry company the owner doesn't know how to talk to people. I don't Recommend him to anyone. I would take my vehicle to somewhere else he does not deserve your business. His staff is very nasty. He use the poor black people of South Augusta to build his business then he treat you like trash. Went to inquire about a vehicle got real arrogant and very nasty, I Was Shocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised they still have a company with their business model/practice. My car broke down and I called my insurance since I have free towing and recovery service with them - they set me up with a driver from Vern's Wrecker and Recovery Service. The driver left me waiting for an hour and a half in my car - I told him exactly where I was parked with the address and he still claimed to not be able to find it. This ordeal lasted for 10 phone calls, with each phone call further revealing just how incompetent these people really were. At the height of all of this - the driver just quit! He just decided not to come tow my car anymore - after making me wait an hour and a half, he decided that my address was supposedly too hard to find... I've never met an employee who just decided to quit in the middle of his job and it honestly made me chuckle a bit (which I definitely needed after this experience). After mentioning all of this ordeal to my insurance company, they assured me that they will be terminating their business with Vern's and the second towing company they set me up with (Waynes Automotive and Towing) was able to find my address and tow my car within 30 minutes... Again, I'm not really sure what went wrong here. I just needed my car towed - it is certainly hard to see why a company that focuses around towing and recovery would have such difficulty with a fundamental concept of their business model..

Family member had the misfortune of an accident and the vehicle was towed by Verns. When she went to get the vehicle they took her CASH and then refused to release the vehicle because she had no photo ID. The vehicle was in bad shape so they knew she would not be paying if it was not hers . Heartless Business. Steer Clear..

Was thinking of using your service but not after what I read about your company! I think you all had better straighten up your act or you will be going out of business!

I recently had to have my dear car towed, and have to thank the wonderful driver for being so professional it completely put me at ease! Also besides the professional attitude he also put a step stool out so my short self was able to get into the tall truck. I would highly recommend this towing company to anyone who has been unlucky with their vehicle
