Absolutely delicious. Fresh farm to table ingredients. Excellent salsa, guacamole, chef tacos and specials. A hidden gem. Delicious. Five stars well deserved as this place and the service and staff earned it

The food was good, but I believe would have been better if the service was better. Drinks that were ordered first, came out after our guac, chips and salsa. They were out of a few items we ordered, but we were okay with that ... it happens. The rub was that the table next to us, that sat and ordered after us, was serviced a dish that we were told they were out. We overheard the server for that table say, "I found one for you."
Everything came out cold! Ordered a few of each taco. They were all cold and soggy! Not one taco was intact. I believe the Barbacoa would have been spectacularly tasty hot. Seared fish tacos cold, were inedible. The grilled chicken tacos cold and dry were also inedible!
The fried sweet potatoes were good, but cold. Could only image how they would've tasted hot?! Both brunch dishes were cold throughout; the rice, beans, eggs, etc.
Based on how long we waited for our food and how it was delivered ... it wasn't worth complaining and waiting again!
Very disappointed!

Incredible Food and Great service. The food flavors are savory. Unique twist surprises on some of your tried and true favorites. Vida Cantina is a fun and delicious spot. One of my favorite go tos in Portsmouth. Thank you Chef D!

Is this the best restaurant in Portsmouth? In my opinion it's damn near! Absolutely the best Mexican in the area. It was packed for Cinco de Mayo with a killer DJ working.

Great service. The tacos are dope. Expect smaller portions than other Mexican restaurants. But definitely worth it.
