This was one of our favorite restaurant in town because they had an extensive menu with close to three pages of vegan dishes we could enjoy. We recently visit and learned that it’s under new ownership. The menu placed in front of us wasn’t even titled Vietnam Garden but it was called something different. I guess they changed names too? They completely omitted the vegan menu! We will not be returning. I hope they know they are excluding a loyal group of customers by removing all the vegan dishes. Lame.

Great waiter, nice decor, good food. I got the lunch special which was a perfect amount for $8.50. Comes with choice of fresh garden roll or egg roll, choice of 3 soups and a variety of menu items with choice of meats or tofu so you could create a different combination every visit. If you are super hungry you might want to get a regular entrée for more food. Tea was excellent. An additional benefit is that it is next door to the New Grand International food market so you can get delicious ingredients for your next meal. But you should eat first so you don't buy too much!

I went to this place several times over the years. The new management group is friendly, and yet the mood and the setting is the same from previous management. I have yet to see more than 4 customers at once each time i eat.
The food is good, however, i have some suggestions for the owner, if you read them
1. The name Pho LA. People misread it to have several variations. It can be read as phở lạ, phở la, or phở L.A , which is the true name. Put a period between L and A to make it pho L.A, referring to Los Angeles
2. Either get rid of the bar or change the music to fit the mood of the bar setting. Bars settings are noisy, you cant have the bar and play soothing, slow, romantic music in a setting that reflects a romantic restaurant. It doesn’t fit. People are confused when they enter, as your restaurant has a bar, people want to be loud. But yet the setting and the music doesn’t reflect that.
3. The dining sets on the table plus the wine glass, neatly folded cloth napkins is too fancy and exotic for phở and noodles. The dining sets reflect fining dining, yet the food you serve is “normal” food such as pho and other Viet dishes. Pho and other viet dishes are spicy and have the tendency to spill. Therefore, cloth napkin isn’t really a good fit as people don’t want to wipe their hands and mouth again and again with a greasy cloth napkin. They want disposable paper napkins where they can throw away and get a new one if needed.
4. Get a spoon that fits the need for the pot. We ordered Vietnamese canh chua, but the spoon is too big for the pot that we cant properly scoop up the soup from the hot pot.
5. The food is good, just the mood and the dining sets don’t reflect the type of food that yall serve
Good luck with it.

My wife and I eat here about every week. The staff know us and they are always right on time with our order. I'm pretty simple to please, I really like their Pho Soup and get it just about every time I go there. Their pork soft spring rolls are really great and if your watching your weight, Vietnamese food is an awesome way to enjoy a night out without packing on the lbs. Thumbs up to the staff, they work really hard! When friends come to town this is my "go too" place to take them. I've never had a bad meal!

Glad they got new management especially when I heard the old management was cross contaiminating with some of the vegan options. This new management also seems to have the food coming out tasting better too!!
