I almost didn’t go to this location due to the poor reviews, but I’m glad I did! Everyone was very friendly, from the front end staff to the eye doctor. They were all transparent about pricing and what was covered by my insurance vs what was not. They even accommodated me when I was late for my appointment - I called ahead of time and after checking with the doctor, they could see me anyway. I understand some people have had bad experiences, but I had nothing but great service!
Amazing team! Had a super smooth and speedy experience, despite coming in just 30 mins before closing! Everyone on the team was pleasant and helpful. They worked through the best payment plan, checked in with my insurance company for me, and ultimately got me in and out with a new order for glasses within 45 mins. Alex manager ran a great team.
Excellent Service. Got a same day appointment. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The store manager Alex, and his team are helpful fun and super on top of their game! Thank you for a great experience. Thao my OD was very informative and provided information to follow up with my primary for other potential issues. overall really positive experience and in and out in under an hour.
I walked in off the street needing a nose piece that had fallen off while vacationing here in Boston. The general manager didn’t hesitate, he helped me right away and replaced both nose pieces and tightened my temple screws. No charge! Also helped me with some cleaning gel and cleaning cloth. This was above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this vision clinic.
Went in for an eye exam and to shop for new frames. Friendly and informative staff. Very communicative. Felt comfortable getting my eyes checked.
I had an appointment at 5 pm and it is now 5:31. l’m still waiting for doctor to call my name to check my eyes.
Extremely rude staff. Specifically Alex at the Brookline location. I have never been lied to and hung up on so many times from a place of business. I called to order another set of contacts and was told that I used my benefit for the year. My order was supposed to be finalized on 12/29, 12/30 or 12/31 of last year when I called to say the pair I had been trying was perfect. Instead of this happening, it wasn’t finalized until after New Years weekend, therefore applying to my 2022 benefit. I called my insurance and visionworks on 12/29 to make sure they knew that I needed it processed before the end of the year and still it wasn’t done. I called yesterday and spoke with Alex who was extremely rude and hateful. I explained to him that my insurance can apply the contacts to last years benefit but would need visionworks to let them know that there was a delay which was not my fault in processing. He was completely I reasonable stating that is fraud and the date they processed it can’t change. That was not what was being asked. When I asked to speak with the doctor he goes away and comes back 10mins later and says “the doctor says she isn’t getting on the phone and she doesn’t have anything to do with insurance.” He then proceeds to speak with the visionworks rep who was on the call and refer to me as the “the patient” as if I wasn’t on the call. My insurance only allows for contacts or glasses in the year and I am running out. I won’t be able to see clearly for the rest of the year because of this. I just don’t understand.
Terrible customer service! They canceled my eye appointment without notifying me beforehand. Wasted time, gas, and my sanity. To add insult to injury, they even had sent out an appointment reminder the day before! Find another place, do not go to Visionworks.
Really rude front-desk staff. Went in to get my glasses done and got the impression that that the staff was doing customers a favor by engaging with them. They were very unprofessional and even refused to explain my insurance details correctly; even gave misleading information from time to time. Wouldn't recommend this place at all!
This used to be my primary optometry, but will no longer go here. I made an appointment online, with no option to select a specific doctor. This location was listed as “in network” with my insurance, BUT it turns put that there is one specific doctor who is not in network with my insurance, and that is who they scheduled me with. The doctor did not mention anything during the appointment, nor did the receptionist. It ended up being billed out of network because of this—very misleading by Visionworks and cost me additional allowance that I was hoping to use for contacts. Go somewhere else, seems to me that Visionworks only cares about taking as much of your money as they can.
