Wakame Sushi & Asian Bistro

I've only been here during happy hour, and I must say, they have the best happy hour in the Twin Cities. I love the price and quality of the food. It's usually always busy, but my food always come out fresh in a timely manner. The service is also very good. I have nothing to complain about.

This is the place to go for Happy Hour Sushi in Uptown! Happy hour runs until 6pm Monday-Friday and they have specials on sushi, drinks, and other appetizers. I also enjoy sitting out on their patio and people watching along lake Calhoun. You can get in and out of this place during happy hour for under $20. If you miss the happy hour deals, the prices do go up quite a bit, so I would recommend getting there before 6pm!

I do say this is a very popular place, especially on the weekends. Highly recommend reservations. The BMW roll is my favorite, followed by the Minnesota roll. Weekends have happy hour after 9:30, make sure you ask for the list. It gets pretty loud tho which was kind of annoying. But what makes me uncomfortable was this place needs a deep cleaning. See attached to see they’re lovely cob webs and very dusty walls. So nice place just avoid sitting in any corners.

It has the best happy hour sushi! Tasted good, nice hip atmosphere and friendly staff. I loved it! Will definitely be visiting again! I highly recommend!

Happy hour runs until 6PM and weekdays and allows 2 people to eat for less than $30 TOTAL, which is crazy good value for some really, really quality rolls. Spicy Tuna + a Specialty Roll and an appetizer or two (spring rolls and gyoza) is my go-to. Toss in $3 taps and I’m happy. If you get there after 5 you need to lucky to get a bar spot, but I’ve only had to leave once about of about 8-10 times because I couldn’t get in for happy hour within 15-20 minutes wait.
