My husband and I were on a road trip and found this place by looking for restaurants in downtown Meridian, Mississippi. We showed up and noticed right away that we were very underdressed and thought we might not be able to stay. However, the hostess greeted us very kindly and we instantly felt comfortable! The restaurant is a beautiful historic building with lots of charm! Our waiter Dennis was possibly the best waiter we have ever had at a restaurant and he made our experience truly amazing! He asked us where we were from and we had a pleasant conversation that made us feel welcome and that was really genuine! He was the definition of "southern hospitality"! The food was also absolutely delicious and very flavorful! Overall, we were so happy that we took the time to eat at this great restaurant!

Great service by a young man who was polite, attentive, and effective! Plus, two different manager-types stopped by to check in on us to make sure everything was good. Best example of great customer service all weekend! Food was outstanding...wife had crab cakes and i had gumbo with a muffaletta sandwich. Great place for brunch on a beautiful day!

Nice romantic atmosphere. Great place for a date. The food is always fresh. The fried mushrooms on the appetizer menu is worth having for a meal! It's wonderful!

I'm so glad we came here for dinner while in town. My husband grew up here and while we were visiting he took me here. Reservations were made very easily online. Seated immediately on a busy Friday night. Super friendly waitress. The drinks were delicious!! Love the little jars of peanut butter and crackers they have on the table. And the food... wow! The fried green tomatoes were perfection! Best I've ever had! The pork chop was cooked to perfection! Lots of delicious choices, average prices. And the vibe is so cool!! Def a must stop when in town!!

I love this restaurant. Very good choice for a night out with friends or for a romantic date. Sunday brunch is my favorite thing they offer food wise. But the balcony bar is probably my favorite thing about weidmanns. Great food, great atmosphere, great historical story to the place as well. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a great eat.
