Well Marriage Center - Fairfax

Glen was just what we needed to get out of a downward spiral and finally start spiraling up! He was fair in his perspective and never took sides. He listened without judgment and truly wanted us to get better. The environment was based in positivity and finding the good and growing the good. We didn't shy away from tough discussions, but we always left feeling closer and better for having spent that hour with Glen. Highly recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their marriage!

I've been working with Glen for some time now and he really understands me. He is able to speak to me like a caring (and firm) uncle and not a detached uncaring therapist. I would recommend Glen to anyone who is seeking individual or couples counseling.

My husband and I have had such a positive experience at Well Marriage Center that I feel like I should share it. We had a hard time admitting we needed help and we lived with a broken relationship for longer then we should have. Our counselor said right from the beginning that our relationship was the client and not either one of us separately. We felt that throughout - Glen was always trying to help our relationship even when he needed to confront one of us. We both could tell he really cared about what he had. And he was so good at uncovering our strengths and helping us use those strengths to get better. Don't get me wrong, marriage counseling is really hard at times. But Glen paid so much attention to the progress that we would make and that helped us continue to get better. He's really good. And I get the sense they are good overall. We had a consistent evening appointment and for about 10 weeks their were 2 other couples in the waiting room with us at the same time and over the weeks everyone seems more at ease and seemed to like their spouse more so others must be getting better too. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I went to Steve Brown. I cannot recommend him to anyone. He simply wanted me to rugsweep the situation under the guise of "he didn't know what he was doing" instead of call my husband out to help him take ownership of his behavior. I was also on the receiving end of some passive aggressive behavior from Steve himself. Since my husband is passive aggressive, I am well aware of what this looks like. My advice? Use a different therapist.
