The location was easy to find, right off the main road. We stayed in the family cottage and it was spacious and modern. Very beautiful.

POSITIV + friendly staff + rooms are clean + microwave + good TV + coffee machine + fridge with freezer + coin laundry
 +/- next shops in Hill City … 4.5 Mi away NEGATIV - room rather small - no table in the room - air conditioning very loud - no window can be opened - road with mediocre traffic 30-40 yards away … 
… sometimes disturbing loud - Wifi works, but is slow - barely reception for cell phones

Whispering Winds was the stop that we needed on our trip. We stayed in the Family Cabin and having extra space for my family of six was crucial on our road trip. The cabin is updated and kept very clean. We made most of our meals there on the kitchenette. The staff of Whispering Winds was helpful and courteous. I made a snafu when scheduling the dates of our stay and he kindly corrected for us with no penalty. Great service.

We had an absolute wonderful time here. we rented one of their RV spots at an incredible rate! (they have 8 with full hookups, fire pit, grill, and picnic table). The staff was so friendly and helpful. they treated us just like family. They were so welcoming and thoughtful when it came to our children (even with our special needs kiddo). Beautifully kept grounds and PERFECT location in the Black hills - Minutes away from all the attractions and only 28 minutes from Rapid City! Would highly recommend to anyone traveling and visiting the Black Hills!
