Can now have internet only without all the fees and taxes. 100mb cable is very fast and reliable. Used to have to have a dial tone and it had a lot of taxes and fees.

I called 11 days ago to setup service. They took my credit card info and I gave them my ss#. They ran a credit check and setup an install date of today. Today I called to ask when tech was to come and they had no order for my location but, they did have records of running my credit. After being on the phone with them for over an hour all I got was an I'm sorry. They don't even service my area.

Worst company ever. The service is horrible, you do not get speeds that you are promised. I canceled my service and was still charged for two months after because the customer service rep I spoke with somehow forget to put on file that I called and canceled. I paid the balance that I was said to have owed them ($139.00), just to keep from having it reported to the credit bureau. So the reward I got for paying Windstream money that I did NOT owe, was a letter two months later saying that I still owed a balance of $59.78. Wait it gets even better, believe it or not I have been on the phone with them for 53 minutes trying to get an explanation for this and you guessed it 4 financial reps later the only answer I have is that I still need to pay the remaining balance. Better Business Bureau here I come.

Beware! Your $45 internet will cost you $70+ each month with all of the taxes & surcharges. FYI-Make sure you call and formally disconnect the service or you will still be billed each month even if they suspend your service! Go elsewhere!
