How long is it until the shelter kills the dogs? 5 weeks if they're not wearing a collar, that is not even a week& 10 weeks if they are wearing one. All because of money...do dogs even know what money is? Plus, they shouldn't make them all healthy when they're going to die anyways!! This is a kill shelter& how long they keep the dog until the dog gets killed is the worst! Now, I don't really know about the rescues& adoptions...if somebody says that they're going to be there... I would think that the shelter would keep the dogs longer, but have you ever noticed how Wise County Virginia Shelters is never on petfinder or hardly is...you just got the answer! I'm very much against having a poor innocent animal die!!

I live in Ann Arbor Michigan but I am bery upset about a dog that has been reported to you that has it's ribs showing though and chained to a porch that has been reported to you. Obviously he is starving to death and sleeping in deplorable conditions. You have not taken care of this poor dog!. I am an advocate not only for preventing Animal abuse but human as well. It is a shame you will not go out to that site NOW and help that animal before he/she dies. This post is going everywhere so I hope you listen
