Youghiogheny River Lake

My family and I frequent several lakes in our area; Youghiogheny Lake, Raystown Lake, and Deep Creek Lake. Many people have asked me which is my favorite. The Yough is by far the closest to my heart. I spent much of my childhood at the Yough. Each lake is unique; however, the Yough does not see as much traffic as the other two lakes so the water is less populated. The Yough also is not very commercialized so it is a quieter lake. There are several public launches and each of them are free to launch and park. There is camping, picnic areas, and a few beaches all of which are clean. This is a popular lake for fishing as well. If you're looking for a quiet family retreat look no further.

There's a new public launch area that's very accessible and nice. Was trying to find it and make sure there was enough room to park my truck and trailer

The Lake is a not far drive flood control buetiful place !

I love this lake. The water is so clean. The only downside is that as the summer progresses the water level drops, but on the upside the water gets warmer and there is absolutely no seaweed to deal with. Great place to boat and swim.
