Zum Schneider NYC

Zum Schneider is fantastic. It's one of my favorite spots in the city to sit and spend a nice sunny afternoon, to sit and enjoy great German bites and beers as the sun sets and Alphabet City comes alive. The staff is always sweet, and everything is served with care. Often you'll find that everyone around you is speaking a different language. This is not a basic crowd, but an eclectic mix of people who all share great taste in food, beer, and atmosphere.

Hey it’s your business so if you have an arcane cash only policy in 2018 fine with me. But you darn well better make it obvious with well posted signs and don’t act like a rude fool when surprised clients spend $10 and query a $2.50 bank fee at your ATM. The waitresses aren’t pros but so what. But if you are a manager you are in the hospitality business. Treat customers with the same respect you ask for yourself. It really isn’t that hard to do.

This place gets packed during the weekend. It's definitely my favorite German Restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. They have an indoor and outdoor seating. Cash only though

Great for late night meal in east village. I'm a connoisseur of German food, having spent a lot of time in Bavaria. I've had a few different dishes here, all were great. Sometimes a bit touristy, so go real late.

Hands down amazing beer selection, prices, and sizes. Very fun and lively atmosphere, the beers are giant, and the snacks are what you would expect for a German beer spot. It is important to note though, they only accept cash.
