I picked up my rental 2 days ago for a 4-day rental. It went super smooth and had Great Customer Service provided by Rodolfo. He made the process super smooth and easy! Thank You Again! They have several vans that do the airport shuttle service, Quick and easy. They also have a greeter at the entrance that checks some of your documents and reminds you what’s standard at any car rental place they will set a hold on your card for incidentals/tolls, etc., that’s the standard everywhere! Don’t act surprised. Also, if you are not planning on buying the insurance they offer, then be ready to provide your own Yes, you need insurance when you rent any car!. If you have it ready, it’ll make it easier on you and on them, everything will be faster. When you arrive, expect a line, but they have several agents working to help out, they even have additional agents via an iPad, which makes the line go faster. Overall, Highly Recommended!!!
4 day rental did the job. Arrived around 1pm Sunday afternoon. 20 min check In wait time via 2 Remote IPad agents and 1 in person agent. Ivan was detailed and polite through the 10 minute process Check out Was really quick and easy. Pulled up and out within 10min. Phil B confirmed all aspects of the van same fuel and no damages along with our personal belongings. We did Leave a case of bottled water for staff. Helped carry out luggage to Free shuttle back to airport. Will be back.
The prices are great. They gave me a free upgrade. The car was clean and driving great. Pick up was fast, drop off was even faster, Jr did a great job in handling it. They gave me extra one hour grace period for drop off. The also have shuttle service to a parking lot that is served by an airport bus. So you'll have to take 2 shuttles to arrive. I filled it with more gas than the amount I got from them but didn't get a refund for it. Also, be careful of the hidden fees which are the insurance fees that do not show up when make the reservation online. I paid extra 60% of the price I saw online. When I asked about it, they said didn't you read the Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the page? Seriously!
After another company canceled my reservation 18 hrs before pickup after paying for/reserving a month in advance! I scrambled to find a car for the day after Christmas! Was ecstatic to see Ace prices were great and they had a car available!!!! The line was a little wait but employees were so nice and friendly! I was given a beautiful green Charger and everything went smooth! As someone who travels to LA at least 3 times a year, this will be my go to rental car place!!! Thank you Don and Jr!!!
Unbelievable experience!! Our new friend Don went above and beyond to make our first experience in LA an amazing one!! He has tons of knowledge in customer service, great food recommendations and he definitely hooked us up! He made us feel very welcomed and gave us a car rental experience that we will never forget! Ace has a great team working there so if you need a vehicle to rent while in LA, go see our buddy Don at Ace, he’ll definitely go the extra mile for you!
Worst rental car experience I’ve had. You have to take two shuttles to get to the center, which took us over an hour. When we arrived, there were two people working at the counter one was virtual. It took them 20 minutes to help each guest at minimum. After waiting an hour for shuttles, we then had proceeded to wait 2 hours to get our car. See image of the line of people lining up out the door and down the lane. In addition, it was super pricey. We thought we were getting a fair deal, but the cost of the minimum required insurance coverage doubled the price of the rental. We lost an entire day just trying to get the keys to the rental car and we didn’t even save a dime. Do not recommend.
Got the virtual check out to rent my car. Easy, straight up operation. Car was clean, no hassle to get the car and simple to return. The staff was great. You have to take the free bus at the airport to an off site area where they pick you up, but to return you just drive in, hop on a shuttle and they will you back to your terminal. I'll rent from them again.
The representative was rude and not helpful. He said the insurance was mandatory and I couldn’t use my own so I had to pay $50 dollars a day plus the 250 I already paid with Priceline. Their prices are super inaccurate would definitely avoid this business and go somewhere else. Would give zero stars if that was an option.
My experience on Ace Car Rental was not only top notch, but state of the art level with virtual assistance through iPads. Nevertheless, what caught my attention the most was the costumer service given by Lester, and his nonstop effort to make sure the service to my country was recognized. Thank you Lester, me and my girlfriend’s experience in LA started even better than we were expecting.
The very worst, unethical operation. Bait and switch and small print is the name of the game, so do not listen to what you are told. Ask for everything in writing and read it. Example prepaid fuel question "I assume it is cheaper than outside" Answer "yes". Actual prepaid paid per gallon $9.75 per gallon. Unlimited Miles on reservation, get to the counter and the first thing they tell you is if you live in the state, No unlimited miles. 20 people standing behind you in line and one person serving. Take it or leave it. Inside of car was dirty when I received it. I have a service dog and there was some sand on the floor mats $250 cleaning charge. Go clean the car is what I was told, a simple vacuum would have restored the car to how I received it.please see photo's $500 deposit, must be given, we will just charge you if you do not clean the car. Inflation high gas prices and covid 19, lets rip people off in the middle of a tough time for this country. This how you treat people.
