This company is my worst nightmare when it comes to car renting. So, I got into an accident back in September 2017, and they over-estimated the actual damage. Imagine $7000 USD for a front bumper damage on a 2016 Corolla, and my insurance agreed to pay $5800 + my $500 deductible. Months later, I got a letter from a collection company saying that I still owed them $650. I called them back, and they said they sent to collections, and they are not responsible for the case anymore and would not sort things out. I have to contact my Geico to assist me with this matter. Lesson here is, "Don't do business with these unreasonable people!" because they will harass you with emails, phone calls, and collection companies.
I read the reviews after I already booked a car so I was very nervous about the experience. I ended up renting two different cars from this company and I had no problems with either car. They were both clean and met our needs. The customer service was fast and friendly. My deposit was refunded within two days. The second car I rented I did notice the tags expired in April. Overall a good experience for me
I had a bad experience turned good when the owner of AMPM called me to fix the issue. He did a great job explaining the issue and helped me find a good resolution. Thanks to Al and the team for making things right and providing a good customer service experience.
We tried to go to some dumpster place called ez car rental. They had no cars despite us having a reservation. Rosa hooked us up with a brand new car at a great rate. They had a car seat for our baby and were fast and friendly. Thanks y'all!
RENTERS BEWARE!! THIS IS A SCAM!!! You will never see you Deposit Again. Located in a closet at the top of a hotel, this Car Rental is the worst I've ever experienced.. and this is coming from a person who rented over 20 cars in the last 6 month period for work. The customer service is AWFUL. The maintenance light came on while I was renting the car, therefore I did not want to drive it, and I was located about 200 miles from the return point. I called them and no one answered the phone.. I left over 10 messages asking them if there's somewhere I can take the car to get serviced. The day my car was due back, I got a call from them saying it was okay to drive the car in it's condition, it just needs an oil change. Fair enough! Since I already had them on the line, I asked them to extend my rental for 2 days since it was Saturday, I was all the way in Santa Barbara, I didn't want to drive to LA that late, and they were closed on Sundays. HERE'S THE SCAM... Why does a 2 day extension cost $340? PLUS my deposit, and another $99 fee? AGAIN!! HERE IS THE SCAM!!! They rent you car they know will break down or have other issues because they are not serviced properly, and when you call for help, they intentionally ignore the phones, therefore putting the cost of maintenance on their customers.
The worst experience we ever had. After waiting 15 minutes, someone walked me outside and pointed out 3 cars with different prices then left. Did not want to answer questions about the cars. I decided not to rent and was charged a fee near closing hours. I ask why and was told that they had to hold a car for me. Luckily, I have experiences with rental of vehicles and rejected the charge on my card. Beware of businesses that have changed the name many times like this one and claimed to give a better things for a low price. There are many good car rental companies like Hertz and Enterprise with excellent prices and service. Don't let unreliable service ruin your vacation. Happy traveling!
DO NOT RENT HERE. These place is a scam. They are located in a closet on the roof of a hotel. They do not abide by any car rental policies you are used to. They ask for a copy of your own car insurance even if you buy the insurance. Why? So they can file false claims on your insurance to fix their raggedy car. The cars they list are nothing like the cars they have. All low end vehicles with bad tires, alignment, etc. When you get your car they only cleaned it in the parking lot with a shop vac that is it. These people are disgusting and I am contacting the commissioner and everyone I have to to close this unscrupulous company down.
This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. You have to take a public bus to a stop and then call the company to come pick you up. That public bus was the worst experience of my life I paid my car rental fees last month September 9-16 to be exact. They scanned my credit card into their system at the time. When we returned the vehicle, they checked It over and agreed that nothing was wrong with it. We signed out paperwork and went home. However, today 10-24, I received two new charges on my credit card from AMPM. This company had no right to charge my card over a month after my rental. These charges are suspicious and I believe this company needs to be watched very closely. They are not who they say they are. My experience with them wasn't pleasant. 1 out of 5. That was even before this financial issue. Please make sure you keep an eye on this company and investigate. I then called in tonight and got “customer service”, but was told to call back because no one was there that could help me even look into the charges. What is customer service for?
Worst company ever! Stay far away. The car that I received was so filthy, there was dents and scratches everywhere! Luckily, my husband is a police officer and took pictures of evey inch of the car with times and evey detail you could think of. When I went to return the car and voice my disappointment in my experience, the staff, especially the Hispanic lady, became very upset and confrontational. She started to turn it around on us and I put a stop to that real quick. I couldn’t believe how I was being treated. How is this company still in business?! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing from the employees there. This has to be the most unprofessional bunch I have ever met. To make matters worse, just like the previous reviewer, I just had unauthorized charges on my credit card. I immediately reported it as fraud and it’s being investigated. I rented a car over 2 months ago. When I called to speak to customer service, I was told that they couldn’t look into the charges for me. Yeah right! This company is a not legitimate and I know several people who have gotten scammed and are in the process of filing charges. Stay away and rent with a reputable company!!
What a lousy experience. The car was actually charged upon renting, not returning the car. As soon as I drove out of the garage I noticed the check engine light was on and was told to ignore it. The car was decent and ran well for the two weeks I had it. A couple months after I rented the car, another charge appeared on my card. The company claimed it was a toll charge. We got the charge reversed. The next month a new charge appeared! I would never do business with this company again.
