DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! It is ghetto! And all the fees that other reviews said here is freaking true!!! They advertise that they’re the lowest price but they add all the fees! The cars are not decent!!!! Will be the first and last! Stay away from this car rental company!!!
Avoid at all costs. Anything you pay through 3rd party, like Expedia, won't be recognized. They do this because they WILL charge you for their own insurance as extremely inflated rates. Like, more than the car. You have to pay it. Or walk away after spending, no joke, an hour in line because they're egregiously slow and combative trying to extract as much info and money from you as possible. Run! *edit: after dropping the car off I got the shuttle back to the airport. While it took nearly 40 min when we were told it runs every 15 at booking that's not the most worrying part. The seatbelts were disabled. They taped cardboard over the receiving end of the seatbelts so you couldn't use them. See pic showing this.
This is the most disgraceful rental car company in the that has ever existed. They need to be report to the BBB and permanently removed from operation. You can rent a car without proof of insurance bring a copy of your insurance policy or purchasing there insurance. Cost 500 or 400 just as a deposit. Cars are old and break down. They will “rent” you a car they don’t have them put you in whatever they feel is suitable. I understand if having a small business can be a challenge but this is unacceptable.
Just pay the extra and go with another rental car company. We arrived at LAX at 8:40am. We took the shuttle to the remote car parking lot, waiting almost 45min before they arrived to pick us up. Once at their office, they had one, extremely rude girl, taking her time while there were 10 people in line and more coming in. And make sure you use the bathroom beforehand. It's apparent they don't care about how awful their reviews are.
This was the worst experience of my car renting life! I would never recommend this company!! I arrived in LAX and waited for over one hour for the LA public transport bus to drop me off at the rental company’s bus. This bus then took me to their car rental office which is a hole in the wall! They were so disorganized and unfriendly that it took me another 2.5 hours to finally get my car, which was not serviced the service and oil change warning lights on the dash were on and the car was questionably road worthy! It also only had a quarter tank of gas! So I had to find a gas station to fill up after driving away. There were also several additional charges levied onto the Expedia rate! To add insult to injury, when I returned the car they just asked for the key and refused to give me an invoice. They also did not transport me back to LAX and I had to take a taxi back to the airport!!
My experience with this car rental service was beyond frustrating. It took over an hour just to get there, and the front desk staff were incredibly unprofessional, showing no regard for customer service whatsoever. The whole situation was shocking! I couldn't believe a business could still operate with so many negative reviews. The advertised rental fees were just the beginning; they hit you with a barrage of extra charges at the front desk. It's like they try to trap you into a terrible deal. I should have listened to all the negative reviews and avoided this place altogether. Dealing with this rental was a nightmare, and the regrets and stress lingered long after. If only I had booked elsewhere, I wouldn't have had to go through this ordeal. Save yourself the trouble and find another rental service; this one is not worth your time or money!
Do not rent here under any circumstances!! We arrived to pick up our rental car at 9:30 AM, were still waiting by 11:30. On top of ridiculous hidden fees such as not taking most car insurances to sell their $400 one, the employees were flippant and disorganized. I’d highly encourage potential renters to just pay the extra and rent from a reputable car rental company instead.
Cancelled my reservation without telling me before I could pick up the car. Charged almost double for new reservation the next day for 2 days instead of 3. Told me wrong place to return vehicle. No chance of calling the actual location, only national customer service number. Car was in terrible shape. Bad brakes, dinged up all over the car, etc. First and last time using economy rent a car. Couldn't have made the experience worse if they were trying.
Everyone should stay away from this place. Price went from $100 to like $800 because of all the unnecessary fees. They don't accept cash but add on credit card fees? Like ok lol. Go to enterprise, dollar, thrift, alamo, literally any other car rental besides this one. Don't waste your time literally because you wait over an hour
Would never come back to this business. Long wait times, tons of unnecessary paperwork, loads of junk fees added, car had exterior damage that requires more waiting while they take pictures on their personal cell phone. Are they collecting insurance money and not fixing the damage? Interior smelled like bad body odor. They do not answer their phone. Shuttle was dirty and had no business logo, very sketch. Customer service agent female was rude and requires a $500 deposit. Stay away from this company Economy/Allied LAX.
