First, I would give the surgical staff 10 stars if I could. Compassionate, great bed side manner. Just outstanding!! However, my huge disappointment comes from the billing/financial side. Not once were we provided an estimated cost. Even upon asking, I was given a vague answer that they were in our network. Fast forward 3 months, billed a few thousand dollars. Payment plan is 6 months no interest through Care Credit or 12 months direct payment…. This still added up to a high monthly amount, especially after having experienced other extraordinary expenses. It would have been better to know in advance the estimated cost as we could have postponed the surgery until next year and use our FSA. Our account was already depleted. Now finances are extremely tight and pray nothing else unexpected happens financially.
Staff, nurses and surgeons get 5 stars. Billing gets 1 star. I have excellent insurance that covered a procedure 100% but somehow I keep getting bills from them. Not really sure how that is since insurance information card was given to them prior to service, and insurance covered was verified beforehand. Despite this, I’ve spent 2 hours on the phone just trying to get them to submit the claims to the insurance company. I suspect they would rather get paid in cash as opposed to having to deal with insurance claims.
The front desk and financial department are a total mess at this facility. Communication prior to surgery was initiated by me, and the finance/insurance department was not even close to calculating my costs! If budgeting is critical in your life, don't go! Such a shame, because the surgical medical care was quite amazing.
Worst experience ever. They assured me with proper dieting, PT and stretches I would be able to do my normal sports activities and not have my menius tore again. I weigh a lot less and more healthier and it retore and it got worse this year. Their collections and billing are a sham; they would not negitoate any lower amount that what I am billed. I am sure the less than 300 dollars will cause Bear Creek to close its doors. I will make sure that I will do everything in my power to let the public and everyone know to stay away from this surgery place and that they pay for not washing my balance away due to irresponsible procedure.
One of the best of the best. This location is pretty awesome and has an amazing staff. They move fast, they're more than experienced, I mean. they're surgeons. Take a look at some of the pics I got from tonight's event. If you need a ligament surgeon, contact this location. And have you met Dr Steinke? He's that guy who keeps a smile on his face and gets your foot back in the right place. This location is clean, a great size, a few televisions for different views I'm sure, lots of parking, and did I mention a great staff. Make sure you speak with J.C ., Melissa, and Andrea I'd you're ever feeling down. They will bring you up.
If I could rate them more than 5 stars I would, I had 2 surgeries here last year and they were absolutely wonderful. Everyone who worked here was so kind and gentle, they answered any questions I had and made my experience very comfortable I was even given a heated blanket. There was a mistake with my bill which they resolved and took the responsibility for, I was astonished by the professionalism and genuine human kindness from every person associated with them. I could not have had a better experience! Thank you to everyone at Bear creek surgical center!
Easy to contact & schedule appointments. They answer calls promptly. Each member of the Bear Creek Surgical team is cheerful, friendly & professional. They strive to make you feel comfortable & safe. Located on Southlake Blvd 1709 in Keller, you can we used Goggle Maps directions for step, door to door directions. Access to the facility is easy & their is plenty of parking. The building is modern & clean. The nurses & staff were professional & friendly. From our first contact for scheduling, day before procedure, day of procedure, during procedure, to post op follow up we were kept informed with useful information, like contacts, what to expect, time line, and step by step procedures. Our comfort was always priority. The facility & staff were attentive to covid protocols including cleanliness & social distancing. Communications were thorough & family contacts were kept up to date from beginning to end. My family highly recommends, if surgery is necessary, then Bear Creek Surgical is highly recommended.
I, too, am extremely impressed with Bear Creeks Surgery Center's Staff, and associated Doctor's abilities to help comfort my pre-op uneasiness, and complete my successful surgery. This is the day after surgery, and I feel very confident with my abilities for a successful post-op recovery. Kudos to all involved in their screening process for COVID-19, and making sure everyone is safe before surgery. Thank you, and I will see you all again in December!!!
Every staff member was very nice, professional, and comforting. Even before my surgery, they kept me informed on costs, what to expect, and made sure all my questions were answered. Even if the surgery time was moved by 15 minutes before my set date, they would call me. Once I was there, the nursing staff made sure I was comfortable and at ease. To make sure they had the correct foot, they asked me to put on a compression socks on the foot that was not going to be worked on. Every surgical team member came by to introduce themselves, explained their role, and verified the location and type of surgery. Once the surgery was over, they provided all the instructions to both myself and the person taking me home my father. They also checked up on me the next day. I'm very impressed and would definitely and absolutely recommend this place. Absolutely nothing went wrong, everyone seemed very competent with their skills, and have great customer service.
My wife had rotator cuff surgery there today. They could not have been more thorough from pre check-in all of the way through check out. Everyone went out of their way to help us with our various needs and were super nice about it. Couldn’t have been happier with their service. You can always tell when you are somewhere where people just know what they’re doing and this is one of those places.
