I've never been more frustrated with a company. They sent me an item I never ordered instead of the correct one. I had a confirmation email stating I had ordered the one I needed but it took me weeks of follow up phone calls and finally talking to a supervisor to get anything done. Now that I finally have the correct pump, they started it was against their company policy to send a claim to my insurance so they can reimburse me. My insurance will pay for the pump but since Byram refuses to send the claim over, I am stuck. I have been dealing with issues from them since August, giving them so many second chances buy nothing works. I would never order from them again and would reccomend no one else do either done it will just be a nightmare experience -5/5 stars is what I would give if I could. An update: after their response, I have emailed them, returned their callthe number they gave me to call wasn't even theirs, called the regular line and even talked to a supervisor and they still are unwilling to send my claim to my insurance. They keep saying 3-4 business days for anything to happen but here I am 4 months later and nothing has happened. I've worked in customer support jobs and currently do. This is the worst customer support you will ever encounter in your life. I will never do business with them again and advise everyone else not to as well.
I had been getting my diabetic supplies from Byram for about 6years. They would remind me when it was time to reorder. But this last time they sent me an email about a delay in shipping because they needed a new prescription.that's not unusual. I never heard another word. They cancelled the order "because the doctors office didn't respond to them". I had the doctor's office call Byram but Byram wouldn't renew the prescription because it had been too long and my account has been closed.. Byram said they couldn't request a prescription any longer because my account was closed. I had the doctor's office fax the prescription but Byram wouldn't say they received it. Four times is enough. BYE BYE-BYE.
All of the bad reviews should be a red flag to everyone who thinks about using this company. And the insurance companies should stop using them as well. I have had nothing but trouble with them for an entire year almost. With billing. every month they bill me, when my insurance is supposed to pay. And then send me past due notices. And every month I call in and provide my same insurance info all over again. I truly wish my insurance would let me use someone else.
Worst experience in ordering Diabetes supplies ever. I am continuously sent things that I have expressly asked for them to stop sending and have to deal with sending them back and wasting my valuable time. Poor communication, nobody ever had the answers you need. Save upset the trouble and go to Walgreens because these supplies are usually tier two anyway so it doesn’t matter if it is in network.
If you can go anywhere else for your medical supplies I recommend you do. Ever since Byram took over this company has been a mess. If you're unlucky and have to use Byram healthcare, I'm sorry. There's no advice I can give that will make your experience better.
I have twins that are diabetic and we have been getting supplies from Byram for well over 2 years now. I have changed insurances probably 3 times or more and pharmacy plans at least that many times. Byram has always provided great service. The representatives and pharmacy techs I have spoken with have always been helpful and done their very best to provide the needed supplies. Dealing with insurance and fulfillment of supplies for T1D kids is always a hassle and my experience with Byram has been positive during each of those encounters.
This company deserves a NEGATIVE star rating. Let me put this simply: If you are not capable of reliably processing and shipping medical supplies that people need to live, as well as promptly contacting you when a problem occurs, YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS IN THIS INDUSTRY!!!! I had EXTENSIVE problems with my previous order. So much so that I had to contact the BBB to get a resolution. After speaking with one of the companies higher ups, the problem was resolved and I was assured nothing like that would occur ever again. I should have taken my business elsewhere. But I didn't. I decided to give them another chance. Now, after being assured my order would be shipped THIS week, my supplies, which will be gone tomorrow, haven't even been shipped out yet. They messaged me at 6:45 pm on New Years Eve, AFTER they've closed, telling me my order is on hold because they need more info from my provider, which I assume means my prescription needs to be renewed. Which, if they had bothered to let me know that when I was having issues with my last order or even as soon as I had tried to place this order, I would have informed them that I have switched providers and given them that Doctors info. Now, I'm going to have no way to monitor my blood sugar. I will have no infusion sets to deliver my insulin and no more cartridges to store my insulin within my pump. In other words, these incompetent bunch of borderline CRIMINALS have put my life in grave jeapordy! IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE, GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!! They'll be lucky if I don't sue them into bankruptcy!
Oh, if I could only give negative stars. I have been working for 3 1/2 months to reorder supplies. I am diabetic, so these are life-saving supplies for me. I have called multiple times during this period to check on status of the order. They have repeatedly told me they have sent authorization requests to my PCP and Insurance. When I call them, they have not received requests. My Doctor sent requested information multiple times before it was uploaded into my file. I sent glucose logs multiple times myself, only to find they hadn't been uploaded. I received a cancelled order notice because they said I hadn't provided the exact information that had been sent multiple times. They even verified receipt. I spoke to a supervisor...very friendly, but still didn't help. She promised to send the authorization personally and then call back once done. She never called. I called Byram back to ask why. I was assured that they sent the request again. I immediately called my Insurance provider. They never received the authorization request. This company is inept. They lie to customers to get you off the phone. They do not process information received. If I could use another supplier, I would. I am stuck with Byram. These are life-saving supplies. I wish Byram cared about that. UPDATE: Still trying to get supplies authorized. Today I got an authorization denial from my insurance company. When I pressed them as to why I been authorized for these exact supplies for over 8 years now I was finally told that Byram sent the authorization request with my account number, but a completely different person's medical records. Obviously her records would never match with mine. Byram is the absolute worst! This has been a 5 month process for life sustaining supplies and at least 20 hours of my time on the phone with Byram and my insurance provider. Byram can't get it right.
Byram will attempt to keep $ they are obligated to write off per the insurance. Do NOT order your breast pump from here. Reps are rude, and not helpful.
A nightmare of a company to deal with! I recently went on Medicare. My previous supplier is not a Medicare participant and I confirmed with Byram that they are. My doctor ordered CGM equipment from them before the holidays and it has been one thing after another, including multiple requests for insurance confirmation and multiple requests to my Dr. due to "problems" with chart notes and CMN. They take days to return phone and email messages, if at all. Finally in January, I received a call that everything is finally in order and my supplies can ship, only to be informed a few days later that there is yet another issue with my Dr.'s notes and they had to request additional information from my Dr. At that point, my Dr. sent a new order and the SAME documentation that was originally sent to Byram to one of their competitors. The order was reviewed, processed, insurance confirmed, and shipped promptly. I'm fortunate that I did have some stockpile of sensors. In summary, Byram cannot be relied upon to deliver potential life-saving equipment on a timely basis! I find the canned responses to some of these reviews amusing. One shouldn't have to post a bad Google review in order to get the company's attention. By then, it's too late!
