My grandmother had a horrific experience with this company. We saw on our cameras that one of the nurses was aggressive with our grandmother and numerous times the caregiver was seen asleep on our camera while my grandma with late stage dementia was walking around on her own with a great risk of falling. When these situations were addressed with the owner they gave us a very hard time and said "it doesn't matter if you leave a bad review we are shutting down soon anyway" which I doubt but we will see. Caregivers would use dishes in the house and not clean them and were always on their phones. We requested to not have a specific caregiver and they still gave her to us. I would recommend you not trust these people with your loved ones
Care Givers of The Potomac cared for our mom during the last 10 months of her life while she battled dementia. When they began to care for mom she could feed herself and walk but as the year progressed she needed 100% assistance. My family had used several different services over the past 6 years and Care Givers of the Potomac was the most professional and reliable service we employed. C.O.P. staff were always very professional, reliable, loving and caring when interacting with my mom and they reached out to our family weekly to be sure mom's care was meeting our expectations. The weekly touch and open communication channels were greatly appreciated. The C.O.P. team gave my family peace of mind when they were caring for my mom and I would use their services again. Based upon my family's interaction with Melody and the Care Givers Of Potomac Team, I would recommend them to other families in need of home health care services.
I have been using the services of Caregivers of the Potomac for 3 months now and have been extremely pleased with the care and attention they provide for my mother. I was in desperate need of home health care for my mother after she suffered a fall while home alone. I was contacted by the owner within a few hours of reaching out to them on a Saturday afternoon. Melody who is a RN was able to come out the next day to assess our situation and outline a plan of care. The rates were more reasonable than what I found with other companies and she was ready to start care for me on Monday so I could return to work. With numerous doctor’s appointments our care schedule varies week to week but Caregivers of the Potomac are flexible and adapt to our needs. I highly recommend Melody and the Caregivers of the Potomac for home health care services. Their employees are professional and caring. I know that my mom is safe and well cared for.
Our family is very grateful to Melody and her caregivers who have been caring for our very elderly family members for the past year, allowing them to continue to live in the comfort of their own home. Melody really does decrease the stress of caregiving. She and her assistants are available 24/7 for any problems, and they are very responsive to meeting our needs quickly whenever we have an issue. Melody works very hard to make sure that we have the best caregivers for our needs. All of her caregivers have been professional, friendly, trustworthy, and caring. I can definitely say that Melody has helped us enormously by providing daily caregivers who best fit our needs and schedule. I think it would be very difficult to find this excellent service elsewhere. Thank you very much, Melody, for scheduling the best caregivers for us and decreasing our stress. You are the best!
Caregivers of the Potomac is more than Excellent. When looking for caregiving I saw their website and really liked them, and I called and talked with Melody and I knew absolutely this was the place for me. She is wonderful. Melody's love for her grandmother carries through to her care for her patients/clients. She arranged every detail, lifted worry off me. She and her excellent company provide warm, giving, exceptional care. My caregiver was Latoya--she is so sweet, kindhearted, warm, friendly, and gives superb care. I always want to have Melody's company for any help and assistance I will need.
Caregivers of the Potomac provided care to my step-father for the last several months of his life, as he was essentially bed-bound with cancer. Throughout the entire time, the aides were helpful, friendly, kind, and capable. In many cases they went above and beyond the call of duty on his behalf. Likewise, the company's owner, Melody, was flexible, caring, and willing to rise to the challenges that arose. I am thankful for their services.
I am a patient advocate who recently worked with some clients to hire Caregivers for a short-term need. My clients were getting married and wanted their parents to be able to attend from out of town, but needed to make sure their parents were well cared for. From start to finish Caregivers provided exceptional service and were able to fulfill all of our needs. Not only did I have a good experience, but I have heard from everyone involved that the weekend went smoothly, and that it would not have happened without Caregivers help.
Melody and her team did such a wonderful job, and I hate to call it a job, because when someone is taking care of your mother, you want to feel like the person wants to be there taking care of your loved one. My moms main caregiver was Tina and she is a special lady who always treated my mom with kindness and compassion and at the same time did not let her manipulate her. Sadly my mom was in and out of the hospital, rehab homes and home care but Melody worked with me to get my mom taken care of until she had to go to hospice and eventually passed. I believe what separates COTP from other caregivers is what happens when they lose you as a client. I got a packet in the mail about grieving and last days which was very much appreciated. They didn't have to do that and had no financial incentive to do so but did it out of a caring spirit. I am still trying to process everything and this may not make alot of sense to many unless you have gone through it but it is from my heart.
I had my Pontiac Solstice detailed by the techs and they did an amazing job. They were polite and professional and my car never looked better or smelled better. Great experience!
Working with the administrative staff and caregivers of Caregivers of the Potomac has made getting care for my Dad so pleasant. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking care for a family member.
