I really enjoyed the cave tour. Anna was an enthusiastic and fun tour guide, and the cave itself was interesting. It was a steady paced 1 hour, and although there were many sets of stairs, it was not a difficult walk. The view from the terrace at the entrance was glorious, and it’s worth the drive just for the view. I also did the “zip line” which is more of a zippy ski lift. The 2 minute ride was not quite worth the $15 price tag, but Paul, the operator was such a kind and interesting young gentleman.
Would give more stars if i could. What a unique and affordable experience! The cave tour was amazing! We did the discovery tour and it was very easy to operate for anyone who may have anxiety/ claustrophobia. Our tour guide was Gale, who was absolutely amazing!!! She is extremely knowledgeable, hilarious, and brought my friends and i much joy. If you are looking for a cave to explore this is the tour! Get there early to soak in the drive up and the observation decks, so beautiful!
My wife and I did the discovery tour. We had about 15 people in our group. The tour lasted about 45 minutes. $26. Our tour guide was Maddie, and she was amazing! She is full of jokes. There are a lot of stairs and a few tight spaces but it was a great experience. I especially loved the part where they turn all of the lights off and you experience cave darkness!
Amazing experience! We purchased tickets for the 90 minute Haunted Tour and was truly impressed with the whole tour. Our tour guide, Reanna, done a phenomenal job of guiding, entertaining and informing. I don't think we could've got a better guide to make it any more enjoyable! Since we were the last group to leave the caves; we got a bonus and were lead out through the Discovery Cave and was allowed to take inside pictures.
The view from the top of the mountain was absolutely beautiful. There are a number of observation spots for you to take in the view. The souvenir shop was fantastic with such a favorite of gems, cups, clothing, carvings, etc. The tour guide was very well educated and the customer service was a compliment to the field of hospitality. The tour is for all ages and can be completely fairly easily. There are some tighter spaces so I do not suggest wearing a backpack.
This place was awesome! I really enjoyed the cave tour. It's a really cool place to go to. We had a baby and adults; some areas in the cave are a bit low, so you have to watch your head. The activities are pretty cool. Be ready for an adventure for sure. Everyone in our group had a great time. Very informative tour. I've lived in Colorado practically all my life, and it was my first time visiting. I highly recommend getting out to see it. also has such fresh air.
Fun cave tour with guide Slim Jim who cracked jokes and cautioned us of hazards where we might bump our heads. We took the basic discovery tour of about 2 hours because we didn’t want to crouch too much. There are plenty of stairs and some narrow low places to walk through. The cave portion we visited has been reworked in the past century since discovery and opening to tours. It is not a wet cave or growing like other caves. Since we’ve been on numerous tours in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, it is not impressive in the same way. It is a fun and quick tour suitable for children. The lantern tour takes longer and follows a different path. There is a large gift shop, other outdoor attractions, restrooms and a snack bar. Be sure to see the view from the outer porch of the gift shop. Youths who enjoy climbing will like the outdoor activities at extra cost. It is very popular. Caution it is a cave and a confined space and at high altitude you should not attempt if you cant walk at a good pace in that environment. The guide says people every day ask to return before the end and have to be escorted out early.
It's a very cool cave. Tour prices are reasonable and the tour is very interesting. I was surprised by how dry the cave is inside compared to other caves I have been to. The guide was friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. They also offer a military/veterans discount on ticket pricesVisited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$21–30
A great experience! The staff was knowledgeable and made the cave tour fun and interesting. Super interesting sights inside. We did the tour with kids aged 4, 7, and 9 and they did just fine. Would highly recommend!Visited onWeekdayWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$21–30
This cave was a great experience. Our tour guide was absolutely hilarious! He made a history lesson seem like a comedians stage act. But also kept it profession the entire time. I would highly recommend this place for anyone with kids. As it's a good beginners cave. They also have zip linning and I believe a place that sells food when you exit the cave. Also, if you're a geode fan, they have some beautiful ones there after you exit the cave. They're not small either.
