This is an excellent little museum. Call ahead and schedule a time. The docents are very knowledgeable and engaging. This is a squared away professional museum for a the squared away James family. The tour was free, but donate some money to help them continue their endeavor. This museum needs an F-4 static display, someone in Pensacola has connections that could make this happen.
This is a really cool place and I'm glad the money has been invested to preserve this piece of history. There's plenty of free parking in the lot in the back. They're only open certain days but I highly suggest checking it out. A very cool piece of Pensacola history. Thank you.
This museum is a great opportunity for any child. My grandson attend and is going to make the air force his career in another 2 years.
I have not visited yet but am thrilled to read this living memorial exists. I knew General James and his lovely wife Dottie well. He lived across the street from me at Scott AFB as a Lt. Gen. and we corresponded through my college days until his passing. Truly a great American, patriot, and friend. Thanks for establishing this awesome tribute!
Very nice. As a mentor, I've witnessed very good organization on behalf of the staff, so I'm hoping we can keep up the good work and improve upon our shortcomings. Perfect for children that are interested in not just in aviation, but in a better chance at a good career in the near future.
My nephews, Nicko & Donte really enjoyed learning about General Daniel "Chappie" James. What a fantastic legacy Gen. James left for young black males to have right in their hometown of Pensacola. My mom and I garnered a lot of new information about Gen. James from our visit as well. Seeing "Chappie's First Steps" reminded me of being a young girl growing up in Pensacola and wondering what the landmark meant. Gen. Chappie James was a true American Hero.
Mike is not only an American hero and unbelievable man he has dedicated his time and talents to teach our youth not only to fly but to be the best person you can be. We need more people like Mike. Thank you, thank you, Thank you.

Chappie James is a true American Hero. A Tuskegee Airman. The first black Four Star General. A Pensacola native.
