I like the design of museum and how inviting it is as you walk up. It’s not cluttered and it’s well organized. There is a nice store to purchase souvenirs and other items. I like that the way the history is displayed and I loved the exhibit on 3rd floor; Black Politicians During Reconstruction. I appreciate this display because it’s a very important part of US history. I also LOVE the Trader Jon’s display. It’s set up as his restaurant. He was a very interesting man and they think he had the most rides with Blue Angels as a civilian. I think he didn’t charge for anything but traded with those in military. And he treated all the same regardless of rank. Seems like a great man! I highly recommended visiting this museum if in the area. Don’t forget that you purchase a $10 ticket at the Museum of Art and can visit all museums. It last 7 days. The ticket on Sunday is half price because only 3 museums are open; Children, Art and History. But only good for that one day! You have to go see what this city had to offer!
Excellent location to visit. History of every generation...all packed into 1 place. The Building alone is absolutely stunning. Beautiful gardens and stunning displays of History. A definite win for people to pass your day inside when the weather outside is too extreme. Lots to see and enjoy. Love ... Love the passion that goes into preserving the History of One's world
Very informative history museum. I do love how the exhibit changes every few months or so. This way you can revisit the museum and see something completely different. I went with my service animal and it was a pleasant visit. The front desk was helpful and made checking in with purchased online tickets easy and fast.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10
Our tickets to the Art Museum enabled us to visit the history museum as well. There are three floors of exhibits, but it only took us about 45 minutes to see it all. Very interesting look at Pensacola history.
Matt guided us through Lavalle House, the old Christ church, the Lear/Rocheblave house, and finished at the Door house. I appreciated his friendly, enthusiastic presentation as well as how informed he is about history. I recommend this tour!
Nice venue, The historic building is beautiful. Lots of history to take in, the third floor has The exhibit of 2000 Men, very interesting.
The Pensacola historic district $10 per person was a great experience. The ticket is good for all the historical sites. This includes the history museum, art museum, museum of commerce, and the guided tours of the historic houses in the area. History museum was very interesting, had three floors with different exhibits, the third floor being a revolving exhibit. Bathrooms are located on the second floor, an elevator is available.
A lot of stairs to enter the building and I couldn't find an accessible entrance or I missed the signs. 3 stories of local history there's an elevator with special exhibits on the 3rd floor and a former local military geared bar on the 2nd.
I loved this museum. A cabinet of curiosity collection, the recreation of Trader Jon's, and tons of Florida History items as to be expected in a Florida history museum. The attendant was very helpful and the admission was reasonable since it includes multiple museums.
Museums displays were well done. The Trader Jon's exhibit was so much fun and tons to look at.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
