City of Moreno Valley Police Department

Went down to the sheriffs department for a live scan and was told that because I was 4 minutes late to my appointment I would have to reschedule. No exceptions. After a 40 minute drive too…What an absolutely pathetic service. To call it public service would be a lie.

Had to do a quick assignment for class about the Moreno Valley Police Department website. Very informative about resident services, swap zone, and graffiti hotline. Other than for research purposes for my class assignment, I wouldn't be commenting.

Never met ruder men in my entire life, they blocked off the only entry way to my apartment and I politely asked since I live there how I should get in if there was any possible way, he told me to figure it out. Moving down here from another state they seem to be super arrogant, don’t count on any of them to help you.

Pick and chooses whom to detain whom to speak to. We had an incident at work with kids throwing rocks at us. Following us to our car threatening us. Black kids and a black officer came out and didn't even speak to the kids. Took there side. Took a report and left. Nothing was done. She stated they're kids they can't do anything to them ever. Lol. Talk about having favoritism of race here.

I called close to midnight about some screaming in the neighborhood and they were very kind and responsive. We just moved to Moreno Valley in October and this is our first experience with the local police department, and we could not be happier nor more appreciative to them for taking the time to do a patrol around the neighborhood. Thanks a ton for keeping the people and ourselves safe!

Called 911 to report a break in. Trespassers were physically inside my condo. INSIDE!!! First unit showed up over an hour after my original call. Just enough time for the criminals to take a shower brush their teeth have some breakfast and watch some TV before they casually left my property with no consequences. A Little sarcasm there about the criminals, but that’s the kind a time they had days on the response Time. They cleared the property, apologize, and we’re ready to go on their way. They did not even offer to take a statement, they did not offer to provide me a case number or incident number, unprofessional in my opinion

This group of officers does the best job they can do under the circumstances. They are very considerate of what your needs are. However, he city is run by people who intentionally break the law. Due to overcrowding in jails and prisons the police officers are stuck in a never ending cycle. Please understand that these individuals go face danger everyday to try and keep our community safe. They put up with Moreno Valley’s criminals to the best of their abilities. Thus far, all of the officers I have encountered are personable and try to help under stressful situations.

I have called for police assistance three times since moving to Moreno Valley 5 years ago, and each time my concerns are downplayed and made to seem as though they are not important. This last time, renters in my neighborhood were fighting in the street. The police officer said dismissive, condescending things such as "That's why you need to know your neighbors, nothing can be done if the disruptive neighbors don't want to talk to us, the liberal agenda is making it so that no one bats an eye when there is crime, ... "etc. He also said something to the effect of "you know how people get when they are drinking". I could hardly believe that he was trying to normalize that behavior! I then asked him if he would want people fighting in the middle of the street in front of his home and he admitted he would not. When I said I wanted to lodge a complaint, because I didn't appreciate being told to turn a blind eye, he became friendlier. I never had this lack of empathy and action from police officers in the previous city where I lived.

Not like this review is going to do anything!!! but what kind of officer tells me if its in my job description as a manager to have a car towed then to give all my information , if someone is going to retaliate. isn't their job to protect and serve? the only thing they are protecting and serving are themselves !!! good for nothing !! God forbid something happens to me out here cuz I know I'm on my own !! I'm gonna call the city tomorrow and the news and report them!!

I had very bad accident Sunday morning 07/22. Thursday morning police report was available to obtain. I was a bit confused with procedures at Police Department . But the Lady at window was patient and courteous to me . For that I really appreciated. Thank you
