A first-run movie theater nestled in the heart of Lincoln Square. Recent renovations restored this 1917 gem to its former glory for all the public in 2017. A full service restaurant and bar is connected to the theater, providing house made cocktails, craft beer and food to all who enter.

TOP GUN WAS SO GOOD @davistheater @carbonarcbar Lincoln Square, Chicago Haven't been to a theater in SO LONG but there are some movies you just can't watch on a TV screen... Whether it be top gun or dr strange Davis theater is pretty conveniently located and has really comfy seats - good selection of snacks , including the sweet caramel popcorn that I love More on @midwestmunching Instagram
An absolute gem of a theater that is a terrific alternative if you don't feel like going downtown to see a flick. The staff is friendly and the popcorn is delicious. Very modern but not too gaudy, the theaters are tasteful and gorgeous in an old Hollywood kind of way. Definitely my go to spot. Once you see a film here, you will be hooked.
Lovely theater right in the heart of Lincoln Square. Since the remodel, the seating is really comfortable and screens are beautiful. The staff are always helpful and accommodating. Great place for a fun date night or taking the kids to see a movie. And right in the heart of plenty of great restaurant options for dinner!
Well, we hadn't visited since their big remodeling back in 2016. Now it's beautiful. We came to the matintee which showed "BLACK ADAM" It was us and 3 other people. It was interesting to have the movie theater all to ourselves. We decided to go in person to buy the movie tickets due to their service charge if you go online to buy them there. We went to the 3:30 P.M. showing. The Matinees Showtimes before 6:00 P.M. are $9.00 per movie ticket. They are also showing TAR movie. They are closed on Monday & Tuesday. It's clean, love the leather seats that are comfortable to sit in. We sat upstairs in row K near the speakers. It wasn't as loud as it is in other movie theaters we visit. The matinees prices pop up when you order online. Depending on the times to come. Loved the movie too.
The theater is quite nice and the staff are very sweet and lovely. I do want to suggest the Davis Theater get new entry doors that go into theater 2 Im not sure if all the theaters have the same doors. They have these big industrial metal pushbar doors to go into the theater on both sides and they are really disruptive. Most modern theaters have slow closing doors that make no sound when opening and closing. I think this would be a great improvement if taken into consideration. I went for the movie marathon on Saturday and people had to go in an out frequently and it was very annoying to hear the slamming of the doors every few minutes.
Neighborhood gem- clean theaters, cool space with the age of the building, good food and drinks. Concessions are still expensive but a bit less than big chain theaters and higher quality. Love the Davis!
Nice update to this long-standing theater. Comfortable seats and option to select which seats you'd like. If you want to order food, pick and choose your times carefully as the partner bar/restaurant food purveyor, Carbon Arc, doesn't maintain hours aligned to the theater.
Clean, comfortable. Glad this was the first theater I sat in since before the pandemic. Situated in a lovely neighborhood
We went for an Incredibles 2 party and it was fantastic! The theater was super clean and my kids were entertained the whole time before the movie. The art deco inspired decor was impressive and so much nicer than normal theater decor. They didnt play any previews which is great when you are with 3 kids under 6! They have local treats to enjoy and a mix of classic movie candy too. Fresh popped popcorn and a super cute restaurant attached! Added bonus, street parking was a breeze!
Beautiful, freezing, entertaining inside, stinky outside by the doors like armpits n azz, no hot dogs available n movies we wanted to watch weren't available but we settled on Nope n it did the trick. Overall great experience!
