My family and I were very impressed with how Distinguished prepared our mother. Countless individuals complemented on how well our mother looked. From start to finish, Jestine and her team were very professional, kind, and caring. They made the process of planning mom‘s home-going service seamless. Distinguished was also very affordable and I highly recommend using their services.
Tyesha Carter's son, Tashawn was shot and killed, she decided to go with this funeral home to have him honored and placed in a cemetery. The Distinguished Memorial Chapels, Inc. check BOUNCED when they gave it to the cemetery, therefor his head stone wasn't placed. She reached out multiple times, they refused to answer, she hired a lawyer, they refused to answer so she went to channel 6 Action News. This was finally resolved after the news broke that this happened, what kind of back water funeral services are you providing people? Unreal, get it together and do better next time.
So, it started off rocky, two many personalities but the service, staff was amazing just like we wanted. My family member looked amazing. The driver we had made us very comfortable. He heard my mom say she wanted a soda and her stopped and got her a soda and the rest of us waters. Very nice friendly staff. The crowing ceremony was beautiful. Lol..I would say I would use again ..but prayfully, I won't or at least no time soon....Thank you again!!
Very professional business. My mother passed away unexpectedly this year and me and my family reached out to Distinguished Memorial and they handled everything so professional and was so patient with my family. A special thank you to Ms.Justine who went out her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our mothers funeral and was very kind. I highly recommended this company! Thank you from me and my family.
I am so glad that young lady got what she needed for her son. As for the funeral home owner and her business, I just pray mercy on you!! God knows he can handle things that’s bigger than us, what a disgrace and how you make the profession of funeral service look. You reap what you sow.!!
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS MEMORIAL SERVICE! A mother paid them 11,000 dollars and 3,700 of that was supposed to go to northwood cemetery for burial services and the check bounced and they were not paid. The mother was not able to put their son in the ground until she got CHANNEL6 NEWS INVOLVED. This company has owed me over $1,000 for more than 2 months. They have promised to pay me, said they mailed a check that I never received and said they would deliver cash to settle the debt. I have left over half a dozen messages and never receive a call back. When I call and reach someone they tell me the proprietor, HT Johnson, is busy and will call which he does not do. The only way I can get a response from him is posting this review. Buyer beware.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. I feel my mom was handled with care. I know I would refer them to anyone looking to have their family member respectfully cared for.
I just want to say thank you for making my cousins home going so beautiful. I believe your hands are anointed and your hearts are true. This was evident in how your served my family and preserved his memory. You went above and beyond for us. Thank God for you and your staff.
